Pros:
Hendrickson Park is a City of Poplar Bluff park. The park is scenic and well maintained. The course features 18 baskets with concrete tee pads. The pads appear larger than pads on most other courses I have played on. The course features a variety of terrain and shots. The first nine baskets are located on the east side of the park, which is hilly and wooded. The first 9 have uphill shots and downhill shots considered to be technical because of the numerous trees. The back 9 baskets are located on a more level and open area of the course, with the exception being #14 which is an uphill slope. None of the baskets are near water or brush hazards. The flow of the entire course is easy, with the next pad being within view and being a short walk from the previous basket. A sign with a map of the course is located next to the parking lot.
Cons:
The only thing I considered to be a con were the leaves on the ground on the front 9. Some city parks departments will remove fallen leaves from parks by mid-December, while some do not, and Poplar Bluff appears to be a city that does not.
Other Thoughts:
Hendrickson Park is located only a couple of blocks away from another city park known as Bacon Park, and Bacon has a 9 basket course.
