The course plays throughout a large well mowed grass area in the front on the resort. The tone pole pins weren't actually that bad, not as good as actual baskets but better than I thought they'd be. They make a nice loud noise when you hit them. These all also have a flag with the pin number on them attached to the top. They provide a hand drawn map in the office building which does a fine job of helping with navigation. There are no tee pads so you just throw from pin to pin, but with the nice mowed grass this is no different then a mid range shot really. The majority of the holes are pretty wide open. However that makes the wind a major factor. They do use a few trees as nice obstacles in a few spots, especially the two large pines for 6 and 9. The hill and distances are the two best qualities of this course though. There are a few mid 400's to 500 foot holes, and 9 is a long blind uphill shot through or over the 2 large pines with a round to the right. Free to play. The course was very clean and would hardly ever be busy it seems.

The tone poles aren't the best targets, they work but definitely not as nice as actual baskets. Some of the holes are just totally wide open. Not much they could have done about this but a con still the same.

This course was better than i expected it to be but it will not draw me back unless I'm in the area and can't play the other courses nearby. There are a few other solid courses nearby with Lustig park being the best nearby.

This course inhabits a surprisingly welcoming (my review title is taken from a road sign there) trailer community/RV park and is a neat use of some fairgrounds-type land. Tube tone targets are in great condition, only lacking flags for the high flagsticks on each. I like not having to worry about spit-outs!

The trees and elevation change were put to good use, but could have been more interestingly employed. In particular the three wiiide open, flat holes could have been tucked up against trees.

I teed off from the pins in the following way: starting with the pin right by the parking lot, aim for the left pin on the hilltop. Then throw down the hillside and follow a natural counter-clockwise loop. 7 will be very short but steep, up that first hill. Then 8 back down, and finish at T1/P9 by the parking lot. This way there are no crossing fairways. If you want to experience the magic of tube tones, play this course once on your way through Milton (the park is right on the road from Stoughton to Whitewater).
