Not as Bad as I thought it would be 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 7, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

First, after reading most of the reviews on here I've passed over this course for the past couple of years when I'm in the area. After playing it, I wish I wouldn't have.

If this course was close to my house I wouldn't have any issues playing it all the time.

I did not see any homeless people at all. Just a family fishing in the park, and another family playing on the playground.

The park was well maintained. The tee pads were old but no footing issues at all.

Hole 1 - short hole with a low window. Pretty straight forward.

Hole 2 - a bit longer but reachable for an intermediate player. Only problem is you're shooting straight down the entrance road to the park.

Hole 3 - short and technical. One bad kick and you could loose your disc forever in the thick growth on the right side. I decided to play it safe and lay up in the fairway even though I could of made the distance with a putter. wasn't going to loose a disc on this course!

Hole 4 - short easy shot - not much else to say about it except the thick growth on the right side could eat your disc.

Hole 5 - short easy shot with the growth on the left side again, almost exactly the same as hole 4

Hole 6 - short, but wide open to a forehand on the left side, or if you're a lefty backhand. Just don't end up in the jungle on the right! bye bye disc...

Hole 7 - wide open fairway with the basket slightly on the left. Not much danger here.

Hole 8 - almost a mirror image of 7, except there is water on the right side that shouldn't come in to play.

Hole 9 - short throw over the water, really the only hole that has any elevation change in it as well. If you can't throw 175 feet you might want to lay up and go around the pond instead of throwing over it.

Cons:

Super short course only took 19 minutes to play a round alone.

Course is short but I can't say it's good for beginners when you add in the many opportunities to loose a disc.

One of the baskets is broken and looks like it's been that way for a long time!

The walk between hole 2 and 3 is far and not well marked. They are on opposites sides of the railroad tracks and in two different parts of the park. You have to walk out to the road, then down another road across the tracks to find the tee for 3.

The walk from hole 9 back to hole 1 takes almost as long as it does to play the whole course.

Other Thoughts:

I'm glad I played it. I recommend playing it once if you're in the area but I wouldn't play it again.
