Pros:

NATURE - I loved the wildlife experience at this course. Although its nestled in the middle of a city neighborhood, this course is home to some neat creatures. I saw hundreds of mullets jumping in the lake and a large bald eagle perched high in the trees overlooking the feast. The lake is likely home to alligators as well.
PLAY - The course was very fair. No shots were too difficult or hazardous... a nice rarity in Florida. Hole #9 shoots over a corner of the lake; its fun and a little risky but not too difficult to accomplish.
OTHER - The people around the course were very nice. I spoke to an old man sitting on a picnic table near tee #4. He was surprised to hear we were from Iowa and playing the course. He said disc golfers appear to be a dying breed...??? I didn't quite understand, in fact I disagreed, but I take his statement as an indication that the course is underplayed. Another man who was fishing in the lake mentioned that it had been nearly 30 years since he had thrown a frisbee.

Cons:

The course did a fair job of including a variety of shots within 9 holes. There are some medium-long shots, but mostly shorts. The course is completely flat, and trees only come into play on a couple holes. At least the lake helps to add some variation.

Other Thoughts:

I typically shave off 1 point on my course reviews on all 9-hole courses... simply for not being a full course.

New Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 5, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

New Course with new Discatcher Pros with Concrete pads. 3 of the holes require some fine control to make a birdies, while the lengths are short there are tight lines that require fine control. 3 of the holes are close enough to water that errant throws could cost you a disc.

Hollyland is a course that plays very quickly, most pads are close to the last pin.

Cons:

Since it a new course the locals that fish in the canal are still parking on the fairway for hole 4. There is no signage other than pad markers showing the hole number. There are also pads that were poured before the course was finalized near were pins are now located which can be confusing.

Other Thoughts:

The pad for hole 1 is located at the corner of the baseball field. Hole 2 plays over the entrance way to the park. After clearing hole 2 walk to the street and cross the Train tracks you will come to pad 3, which is right off the sidewalk.
