The Best Course in Town 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Built around Kameoka trail, the course is beautiful. Unlike Boomer (the other disc golf course), there are trees everywhere that haven't yet been cut down. There's a wide variety of technical holes that are both fun and challenging. There's also quite a few birdy-able holes (for most players) on the back 9.

Cons:

The baskets are old, and not always well marked. This has improved recently (thanks Stillwater Disc Golf Club), but it's still not the best marked course, but it's not the worst either.

The tees are dirt. I think this might be changing (I read a rumor that their pouring concrete right now actually) but as of right now they are dirt. Because Stillwater is full of all kinds of players, the tee pads keep getting longer, and some of them have actually moved locations (like hole 1. You're supposed to shoot through the trees, not move up 50 feet to the north and then take a 20 foot step east).

It is a park that exists in nature, so there's snakes, spiders and the like, so be careful when you go searching for your discs.

Other Thoughts:

Over all it's a really fun course, it has its flaws, but given the options, it's the best course in town.
