Reviewed: Played on:Feb 5, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

-nice tee pads and chains
-decent directions pointing to the next tee
-trash cans through out the course
-open holes making it a good beginner course

Cons:

-all holes are straight from the tee offs
-some of the signs on the tee pads are fading so it can be hard to read
-not a course for advanced players
-not a huge variety in distances for each hole
-short distances on every hole

Other Thoughts:

A good course for beginners looking to enhance their skills

Nice little course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 31, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Clean, well-maintained. Nice pads with distance etched in the concrete. No markers but finding the next tee was not an issue. It is a fun little course you can play in about 20 minutes.

Cons:

Only 9 holes, they are simple and pretty much straight-forward. Requires little thought or technique. Interstate can be a distraction on a few of the holes.

Other Thoughts:

First six holes are wide open, but the last three are wooded. Loved the last three holes.

Short and sweet 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 2, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course is a nice, small 9 hole course that I would describe as beginner friendly. Course navigation is very easy and #9 puts you right back at the parking lot of #1. For an experienced player, it shouldn't take you longer than 30 minutes to complete a round.

Course is very clean. It is rare that I have seen any rubbish on the ground. Concrete tees are now up on each hole and all of the baskets are in perfect shape. Tee signs at each hole are accurate and display the needed information of distance.

Since this is in a county park, this gets mowed quite often and it is rarely overgrown. The three wooded holes are very cleared out and it is next to impossible to lose a disc here.

A few baskets are protected and force an accurate shot (4 & 9). Good for the advanced players. Elevation is used well, fairways are well defined, next to no overgrowth.

A great place to practice different shots.

Cons:

A few holes are a shot straight into a field with a basket. Once you play it a few times, you may get bored.

Other Thoughts:

This is in a mixed use park, with many baseball fields, a walking track and I'm sure more activities to do. Paved parking lot and easy access to I75 is nice too. While I would not call this a destination course, it is very nice for what it is, a neighborhood course.

Wish This Was My Neighborhood Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 25, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Wonderful rec/neighborhood course in beautiful, hilly north GA.

Nice concrete pads with hole # and distance, and nice baskets.

Very easy to navigate.

The 1st 6 holes are on a very nice and well-maintained grass field with enough trees to force some shot shaping. The last 3 holes are in a light woods with hills and valleys.

There are enough picnic tables and garbage cans.

The course is very close to I-75. Getting a quick round in to stretch your legs here is highly recommended.

Friendly locals.

Cons:

This is a multi-use park, and there is a jogging track that runs around the course. Children also play in the park, so care must be taken while throwing here.

The course is somewhat short and can be played mostly with mids and putters.

Other Thoughts:

Clean, fun, and family friendly. Lucky you, if you live in this neighborhood, and can play it every day.

Nice Easy 9 Hole in NW GA 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 2, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good 9 hole course for beginners. At a nice park off I-75. Uncrowded; nice scenery. First 6 holes are wide open and the last 3 have trees for more challenging throws.

Cons:

Not very challenging for the advanced player. Holes are short and mostly without obstacles.

Other Thoughts:

Great course for beginners and kids. All holes are par 3.

Welcome to disc golf! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 27, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great place to start and then develop your game, open course, distance markers, friendly locals, drink machine behind the building, discs inside.

Cons:

Some places muddy in the rain so wait an hour like swimming after you eat, some tees not level.

Other Thoughts:

This is where I bring anyone new interested in the game. They get 6 holes of grasping the basics and then an introduction to what the game can be with the last 3 wooded. Highly recommended for noobs, families, or anyone that just wants a relaxing game.

Decent Starter Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 8, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Wide open, hard to get in trouble for beginners/new players. Free to play!

Cons:

Construction area quite muddy when rainy. Short holes for long throwers. Parking area closed on weekends.

Other Thoughts:

Good place to take people for their first time out. Very close to the interstate and easy to find. One hole you do have to be careful as it is very easy to throw one onto the interstate! Construction areas a fairly easy to play through/around.

Nice beginner course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 10, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great for beginners and pretty easy to follow. Nice design as well as the holes don't cross each other.

Cons:

Short and not many obstacles to challenge the experienced player.

Other Thoughts:

The addition of the "next tee" arrow is a bonus more courses should have. Though it still wasn't hard to follow, it sure helps out when a new player isn't sure where to go next.

Nice Family/Beginner Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 19, 2008 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is an excellent course in which to introduce someone to the game or to bring your wife/girlfriend/children for a round. There is very little chance of losing any discs. The course sits in a pretty park beside a baseball/softball complex. The teepads are covered with indoor-outdoor carpeting and the tee signs are simple little PVC pipes sticking up which give the distance and hole number. I'm afraid they might be prone to some vandalism. Because the course was so recently built, everything is currently nice and new. The course has a nice combination with the first six holes playing out in the grassy, wide open park area and then finishing with the final three baskets in the wooded area. Every hole is birdieable for the average player. Players will shoot 8 or 9 under on this course.

Cons:

The course will not challenge the average player. Most holes are in the 240' range without many obstacles in the way. I think there are a few holes where the baskets could have been placed in slightly more difficult positions making the course more interesting/challenging for the average to more skilled player. It is a long walk from the far parking lot to the first tee. During working hours, I guess you can park in the park department's parking lot right near the 1st tee. The course is basically flat with no water to worry about.

Other Thoughts:

I played early one morning. There were a few walkers out. There would have to be a whole lot of them out walking for them to affect anyone's game. This is a nice course to work on your short game or just get in a quick practice round or two.

Another good beginner course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 4, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's great for beginners and very well marked. They made great use of the land that was available and it's a free course that's a lot closer than The Sinks. The course is also very accessible from the main road.

Cons:

The course is on an extremely small amount of land and some holes run very close to one another. If you're a beginner then you might cross over to other fairways, and if you're an old pro you will probably get bored.

Other Thoughts:

If you want a good place to practice or learn to play the game then this course is right off of 2-A.

Pros:

Fun, simple course. GREAT for beginners. Very good use of the terrain.

Cons:

9 hole courses always make me cry a little bit. Being surrounded completely by a walking track will probably get annoying on busy days.

Other Thoughts:

I took a buddy of mine here for his first ever round of disc golf and he loved it. The holes weren't too long or too difficult for him allowing him to have a good time even though he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it yet.
