- Good mix of hole distances including a par 4 hole
- Good mix of open/wooded and grass/dirt holes
- Good mix of left to right/right to left holes
- Some fast greens around the basket add more thought to approach shots
- A decent amount of OB, mandos, and trees punish bad throws
- Mando through a large pipe is unique, fun, and helps an otherwise open hole
- Well maintained and used park
- Hitting a barn on your tee shot is fun and unique

- Some elevation but less than what I typically desire
- Navigation is awkward with several unintuitive walks to next tee pads
- Very busy park with other park users sometimes using your fairway
- No bathrooms which is weird for such a large and well used park
- No internet so plan accordingly

Overall a very beautiful area and really fun course. The drive in alone is gorgeous but also frustrating as you want to take your eyes off the road but are on a windy, narrow road so really can't for any length of time. The very green, lush, forested hills around you kind of remind me of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I would have given this place a 3.5 if it were in downtown Provo or Salt Lake but being where it is, the scenery, atmosphere I bumped it up to a 4. This was a bit of surprise as I played it on the fly. Had a very fun time here and think you will too.

Beautiful course that with a couple navigation improvements and some tee sign improvements, it could be a top course in Utah.

New Dynamic Discs Veteran Baskets are a huge bonus.

Variety of shots that range from tunnel shots to wide open long field shots. With road and water hazards.

Multiple tee pad and pin positions. They are changed regularly.

Hobble Creek Canyon is gorgeous year round.

Family Photos by the barn. Holes 15-17 can be a mess in the fall with multiple families wandering around taking photos.

Holes 1-3 play around a playground so be careful and courteous to park goers.

Day trips are the best there. With BBQ grills and picnic tables throughout the park and lots of trees for shade.Its easy to spend the whole day disc golfing there

I was really surprised by how fun this course is. The damaged tee signs and the busy holes 1-3 are the only thing taking away from this course. This is a really nice place to get away during the summer months. Its like a mini resort up here.

Some holes with denser tree, some wide open, some with only a couple of trees makes for a variety of holes.
Some holes play on grass, others on forest floors, others in fields.
Some holes are longer and others shorter. Most of the shorter holes have more trees.
Excellently tended fairways and beautiful canyon location.

Because the course plays near a playground and family campground, watch out for kids.
A couple holes play close to a barbed wire fence -- watch out. Although not frequent, some holes have places that are easy to lose discs.
There are a few longer walks between some holes and a couple holes play over each other.
No real elevation changes, despite being in a valley.

This course now has concrete tee pads. It's better to come here on a weekday, as there are sometimes campers or large parties on the weekends. That is, unless you are one of the campers.

Beautiful area, you are sitting in the canyon surrounded by mountains, which are beautiful.

Can be a bit of a drive up the canyon if you are not from the area.
It can be easy to get lost so take a picture of one of the signs by a hole so you don't get lost

Don't get lost, it's right at the fork just past the ball golf course.
Also had my best lucky 2nd shot ever on hole #1. After hitting a tree and coming up short on my first throw I thew a forehand that bounced into the basket!

Beautiful multi-use park in a canyon east of Springville. Much of the grass is irrigated and much of the course is lush and green.

Not much elevation change but a lot of trees (both newly planted and mature) and a pretty little creek running though the course. The creek is only in play on a couple of holes, and is shallow enough that losing a disc shouldn't be an issue.

This course offers a nice variety of holes from wide open drives over lawn to tight little wooded holes. Hole lengths vary from 182' to 570', with most in the 250' - 350' range. Several holes offer two tees or two basket placements.

Brand new tee pads and tee signs have been installed. Concrete pads are a good size with nice texture, and tee signs are a big improvement over the 2014 signs. They give distance, par, a nice hole map and the next tee arrow.

The first three holes play over a lawn area that surrounds a playground near the parking lot, making for an easy start. You then take a small bridge over the creek to play holes 4 - 7 which are in a rougher area of the park.

Hole 4 requires that you hit a tight gap right off of the tee, with Hole 5 driving to a basket that is guarded by trees and a "boneyard" of stumps, tree trunks, and some surplus pipe.

Hole 6 requires another tight drive to a basket near the creek. Holes 7 & 8 are the open, "air it out" holes, though rollers work as well.

Holes 9 - 17 play in a different area of the park that is across the access drive. These holes are interesting combinations of open ground and some tight little wooded holes.

Hole 16 takes advantage of a huge piece of pipe by requiring that you drive through it right off of the tee. Unique design feature that adds some fun to the hole.

Hole 18 is a nice finishing hole that requires a drive across the creek and back toward the parking lot. There is a shorter tee that gives a more open drive across the creek, and a "pro" tee that brings a couple of trees into play right off of the tee. Neither tee location creates a real difficulty with clearing the water.

When I most recently played on a Tuesday morning there were a bunch of huge sprinklers running. The baskets for Holes 3 and 18 were unusable as they were directly in the heavy spray of water. I guess that there is a reason for all of that lush green grass!!

I never saw restrooms or water fountains which surprised me as this looks like a busy family park. Perhaps I missed them.

I first played this course in September 2014 and liked it then. In August 2017 it is a much better course with new tees, signs, and a few new hole features. Upgraded from a rating of 3.0 to 4.0.

I played this course on weekday mornings and had it to myself. But with the playground, picnic tables and large mowed lawn I'd imagine that some holes would be unplayable on busy weekends or evenings. Especially the first three holes which circle a large playground area.

Variety of holes: long, short, obstacles, open shots, landscaped grass, wooded areas, left curves, right curves, blind throws, etc...

Lack of maps. Make sure to take the course map with you. Picnickers and photo-taking groups are more abundant than other courses. Inconvenience caused by distance away from major cities.

Not too difficult for beginners, but still fun and challenging enough for more advanced disc golfers.

What a beautiful course! I was pleasantly surprised by the layout which offers a great variety of short, long, dogleg left and right throws. Even some blind shots and tunnels. It's great for beginners and pros.

The park and course are very well taken care of. You get a great variety between the manicured, open shots and the rustic, climbing over logs holes.

It's out of the way so it gets less traffic, but it's close enough to make it worth the afternoon trip.

There is the obvious lack of tee pads, but most of the tee locations are marked with black markers or are clearly worn.

The course has a couple of flow issues that make finding the next tee mildly difficult. As mentioned before most of the baskets themselves have directions to the next tee. The map provided here is also quite helpful.

For being in a canyon it's amazingly flat. I like elevation changes so this falls in the con section for me.

A couple holes have you throwing right next to or directly at a creek. It does add an element of danger for losing discs which makes the course that much funner to play.

13A is insane. I couldn't even see a line to throw through. Luckily there is an alternate pad 13B for people who can't bomb a big hyzer up and over.

With a playground, pavilion and benches it's a great place to take the family and throw some plastic!.

Ditto to waywu2001, many opportunities to try/perfect new styles or types of play. Each hole presents unique throwing opportunities and the course has been well thought out to stretch the player.

Even though there are no signs, someone has written the next tee location on all of the chain posts. Once you've played through the first time it's a cinch to get to the next tee.

The biggest con of this course is the lack of tee pads. There are little signs that designate the tee area but there are no clear boundaries for the tee pad.

The only other improvement I could think of would be to have signs that showed the distance and location of the basket.

Lastly there are many families and young couples that come to use this park for taking pictures. This usually doesn't interfere but is something to keep in mind.

All in all this is my favorite course in Utah Valley. It is nestled in one of the most beautiful canyons and is usually picturesque. I've had dear roaming the course while I play and you just don't get that anywhere else. The course is challenging to the more advanced player but also beginner friendly.

UPDATE: April, 2014, Tee signs have been planned and concrete has been poured for them. Word around the street is tee pads and signs coming this year.
