One of the best courses in NY 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

27 holes, with an optional layout for using 18.

Good variety of open fields and tight woods. Some elevation holes. Some well designed par-4 holes -- with legit birdie chances like hole 5.

Cons:

Some holes do not have an obvious line -- like the 175 foot 40 foot drop hole, with only 6 feet of clearance for the drive.

Two holes have a 500 foot plus approach in an open field ending with a pin tightly tucked in the woods. It is kind of a crapshoot, to get into the pin area on the second throw.

Other Thoughts:

It is all in all a very well done course with great signage, and set in a beautiful park with playgrounds for your kids, tennis and nature trails for your non-DG friends. And the occasional friendly 2 foot turtle. I think Mine Kill is slightly better, but both courses rank up with the best in NY. (Hyper Creek good too).

Taking the Lemon out of Joralemon 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 20, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

28 holes of disc golf at Joralemon Park DGC, I did the 27 hole experience. I guess I should have played 12B for a more complete review, but I have a feeling that hole was as good as any other. The others were good, too. Joralemon Park is vast, and offers the classic wide open grass covered city park style, as well as wooded more natural landscape as well. Both are done well, but I prefer the added challenge and beauty of playing in the woods. The first 9 are the more open variety, and they range just over 250', to over 550' in length. There are enough trees to hide pin locations, and the tees are commonly nestled in clusters of trees as well. The fairway variations kept me from getting that feeling of heavy repetition. I really liked hole 4, a 460' par 4 that hides the basket on a hill in the trees to the left side. The fairway on the Mossy Grotto of 3, and this rocky green on hole 4 gives a small hint of things to come. There is some water in play, like behind the 5th basket, and around the green on hole 9. Hole 10 is across the street, and it introduces you to the wooded middle holes, but 11 brings "Swamp Thing". Giant moss covered boulders, dense woods and moderate elevation changes dominate here through hole 20. I loved this section of Joralemon. Picking favorites isn't easy, 11, 12, 13, 16, 18 and 19 were all great IMHO. It did wreck my scorecard for a run, I was 4 shots over on holes 11-14. I did get a couple shots back with birdies two holes with good nicknames: 16 (Rock and Bowl) and 19 (Heartbreak Ridge). 21 is over 400', along a road leading out of the forrest and back across the street. Hole 22 returns to the park area featuring grass fields and less elevation change. 23 and 24 kind of have elements of park and woods where another pair of boulders rest under a group of thick trees. 23 is called "Pedestal" and the basket is near the giant rocks. 24 is named "Funnel" and the small end is the tee in the trees opening up to the basket in the open end. 25, "the Ceiling" has tree canopy forcing a low, line drive to carry you close to the target. 26 is a nice one that cuts the corner of the tennis courts, and into a pocket in the fringes of the trees. The namesake "Lighthouse" is on the green. 27 is known as "Holy Roller" but I just went with a conventional RHBH drive. I bogeyed, but a roller can't help bad putting. All of the parts on the course were good enough for me. Concrete pavers installed on the tees were level and even. The signs at each one had hole number, distance, map, nickname, and local sponsors. Additional squiggly white arrows pointed transitions from one hole to the next. Another sign gives the directions at the fork in the road, 18 hole loop (using hole 12B), or 27 holes (on to 13).

Cons:

Layout might be tough to follow in spots, but printing the map linked to the course page helps a lot. 27 was a nice hole, but it was also home to a bunch of ground bees near the basket. A park staffer was mowing and gave me a heads up. If you see a random tree branch sticking out of the grass, it may be telling you something.

Other Thoughts:

There are many good things about the Joralemon Park DGC. Almost any course with holes in addition to the standard 18, is at least a little better. When the extra is added into an area this beautiful, you can't lose. Rating of 4.25 would be my call, but I'll round up to 4.5, because I am bad at math, and 4 seems too low.

Pros:

Great variation of holes. Lots of technical shots. Water hazards, fields, rocky terrain, thin/thick woods.
Easily navigated, signs, nice long concrete pads.
Great use of elevation through the woods.

Cons:

Fairways arent very well defined for the most part.
Walking to hole 3 from the 2nd basket (around 25th basket) is kind of strange and confusing.

Hole 2 and Hole 26 have potential for the playground and tennis courts coming into play, particularly with new players/ on a windy day.

Other Thoughts:

Never crowded when I have been (usually weekends). Great park, great design, great disc golf!

The Boulder Course

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 27, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- Decent mix of wooded and open holes ,Although if you are playing all 27 holes it seems you spend a long time in the woods
- There are tee pads and descriptive signs at every hole
- The holes are linked together in separate loops which allows for different ways to play 18 holes if you do not want to play all 28 holes
- Rocky terrain provides some fun climbing opportunities
- Baskets are nicely placed between boulders
- The park seems well used by picnicers but the course stays out of the way of all the non disc golf users
- This is a heavily wooded course that requires a lot of control. If you can control your disc you can do well even if you cant throw very far.

Cons:

- Some more advanced players may not find this course very challenging because there are not any real monster holes. It is more about control.
- There seemed to be a lot of repetitive holes through the woods (In many of the wooded holes the basket is in between two boulders) and none of the holes really stood out to me
- The terrain is awfully rocky and rough and It seems you could sprain an ankle of fall pretty easily if you aren't prepared

Other Thoughts:

The main theme of this course seems to be really big boulders which are nice for a few holes but after a while it gets repetitive. I found it pretty exhaustive playing 27 holes so if you live close by and can play this course frequently I would suggest playing different combinations of eighteen holes. The course might not seem so repetitive in that case as well. In all this is a very solid course but there is not enough here to make it one of my favorites.

-update June 2021 I played holes 1-18 today and had some different thoughts. I noticed a lot more mix of open and wooded holes. I did not notice repetition I mentioned previously. I thought every hole was unique and exciting. That is why I updated my rating to a 4. I did have a couple of problems with navigation even with the map. These were few and far between though. Overall their was a lot of signs especially for helping navigating all the different loops. Last time I played (2013) there were 27 holes. There are now 36 holes and at least 4 ways of playing them at the course kiosk. It is a little overwhelming for an out of town player which is why I just did 1-18 but if I was a local I would definitely become familiar with all the different ways of playing the course. I also would mention hole 18 stood out as an amazing hole even as compared to all the other great holes. Hole 18 may even be my favorite hole from any course not including flip city.

Excellent Course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 31, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Requires ever shot in your bag. Big bomber holes, tight line holes through the trees. Finesse shots are needed and shot placement is at a premium on most holes. Beautiful surrounding and awesome new tee pads. Baskets are solid and reliable. Great use of the elevation available on the holes on the "other side" of the road. If I lived in the area, this would be an absolute go to. Can't wait to go back in the summer and play all 27 holes.

Cons:

Would've loved to play the other 9 holes but the snow was just too deep. Some of the shots threw the trees may require more luck than skill. Hard to complain though and these might change with further play throughs.

Other Thoughts:

The locals really take care of this place. Being from AZ it was a first time for me playing in 10 inches of snow but after meeting up with some folks they really helped out quite a bit. Also a big thank you to whoever placed the GPS coordinates as it made this course easy to find for the out of towner.

Wooded Nirvana 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 18, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Wonderful 28 hole course that plays through the open and wooded sections of a fairly quiet town park.
- Disc golf nirvana - on most days, you show up and all you have to contend with is your discs, the course and your own thoughts - rarely used for anything but golf
- Ample room for parking right near a practice basket and hole #1
- Large kiosk with course map, flyers/info, L&F box and scorecards
- Great variety of settings - Holes 1-9 are mainly in the grassy, open section of the park, but there are some wooded tunnels and well-used trees for obstacles, protection, etc. - holes 10-21 (plus connector hole 12b) are back in a wooded section that is much more technical and provides a challenge mix of length and finesse, all surrounded by huge moss-covered boulders - holes 22-27 are back in the grassy park, but have a few in wooded groves, tunnels and nooks
- Layout variety - play the 27 hole loop or either of the two 18 hole loops (J-west has mostly the open holes and J-east has mostly the wooded holes) - hole 12b acts as a connector for J-west to bring you back to the open area before getting beat up by the woods
- Hole variety:
- the grassy area gives you some chances for open bombs (#4 is a big hyzer bomb, #8 is a long anny, #9 is a straight driving range with a tight tunnel at the end, #26 makes you work around a small patch of trees out in the main landing area) and guarded ace runs (#3 isn't long but has a nice set of trees guarding the pin, #7 is in range, but long grass in front and low-hanging trees make it tough, #22 is fairly open but the pin is tucked in a fairly tight cutout in the treeline)
- the wooded section really forces you to shape your shots through the tight fairways (#10 you need a perfect RHBH anny to get close, #11 needs a smooth flex shot to avoid the trees, boulders and swamp, #13 has a tight window across a valley, #14 needs a precise right-to-left downhill to avoid the swamp, #18 is a tight tunnel with a big, congested, uphill approach awaiting if you make it through, #19 needs a high RHFH to stay pin-high or risk putting from the bottom of a 10-15 foot rock wall)
- Tee signs are new and excellent with details and lengths from the main course designer, who is a certified land surveyor - unique "hole names" add to the charm and personaility of this course
- Tees are new 2'x2' pavers (were not yet installed for many of the previous reviews) that provide a nice solid, even runup and base - they generally allow you equal-elevation room to the side and behind if you have a bigger runup - surrounded by wooden boards and supported by gravel/fine/sand base that has been locked in with water to minimize movement
- Water and/or swamp comes into play as potential OB on maybe 4 holes, but the course itself (trees and natural design) create plenty of places for bad shots to be punished
- Very challenging, which makes a good shot or good round extremely rewarding
- Already mentioned the wooded holes, but the moss-covered boulders create for some visually stunning looks - pin #4 is perched up atop a tiered rock outcrop, like a memorial to the DG gods, pin #11 is perched on a ledge above the swamp, hole #16 is probably my favorite looking hole with the pin peering out from between 2 of the big boulders, hole #20 lets you look from atop the rocks down into a tree-smattered valley with the pin in a litte alcove at the end
- Sign after hole #11 is very clear about where to go to continue with the 27 hole loop or where to go to hit hole #12b and get back to the main park for an 18 hole loop
- The grassy section is regularly mowed by the town parks department
- Wooden planks/boards allow for good footing through the sometimes muddy portions of the woods holes
- Benches/seats at all holes (I think)
- No trash, as the locals take pride in carry-in/carry-out, or just plain carry-out whatever you come across

Cons:

Not much, but a few things worth mentioning:
- I'm partial to Innova baskets with the highly visible band - many baskets, including here, that are set in wooded areas are hard to see
- if you have the course map with you, you should be fine, but navigation from one hole to the next isn't 100% clear in a few spots - many holes have "next tee signs", but a few don't - while there isn't really anywhere else to go, there's no real clear indication that you need to cross the road to get from 9 to 10
- While the open holes are fun, a couple of them really don't punish you for bad shots (admittedly, I'm biased towards wooded courses/holes) - holes #8 and 9 come to mind where you could be 100' left of your target and still have clean, easy approach to the basket
- On the few occasions where DG isn't the only thing going on, the most frequent visitors are from dirt bikes/ATVs that can be loud/distracting and can get in your way on holes, 1, 4, 5 and 6
- Comes with the territory, but some parts of the wooded area can get muddy, but luckily it's mostly on the walk between holes and not in fairways/greens - the planeks/boards mentioned above help combat this
- To me (and maybe I just haven't yet found a consistent option), hole #17 is kind of a crapshoot - your drive heads right for the wall of trees and you just hope you miss them (or most of them)

Other Thoughts:

- Pavillion at hole #1 for tourney central, weather protection, etc.
- Check yourself for ticks when you get home
- Only 1 official tee position, but some locals have installed/played unofficial short tees (marked by hard-to-find bricks in the ground) that may become more used/official later

This course really is top-notch. I've only been playing for a couple years and have played a relatively small # of course (20 at this time), but I've made sure I play top-rated ones and J-Park stands up to them all. I'm proud to have assisted in the installation of the new tees at this amazing course.

Pros:

1. Large Tees
2. Mixture of wooded and open holes
3. Picture perfect landscapes
4. Maps included distance, par, and map
5. Will cause you to throw every disc and throw that you have in your bag

Cons:

1. BUGGY
2. Can be difficult to navigate from hole to hole
3. Baskets when visible were still difficult to spot from the tees.

Other Thoughts:

I was only able to play 19 holes of this course because it started to thunderstorm. However with that being said I know that this is definitely a course I want to visit again. Each hole provided a new layout and therefore a new challenge. I was glad to see a map, lost disc trap, trashcans, and a porta-potty at the beginning of the course. These holes are very long and will force you to throw as far as you can. This park appears to be very well maintained. We did have a couple dirt bikers ride by us through the course which was a bit strange. Benches were also available at every hole. Would never play this course again without bug spray. Wooded holes provide just the right amount of space to throw to make it challenging but at the same time not overwhelming. I was chased by all kinds of huge, flying, black, biting bugs. To recap, this is a great course for those that have been playing a while as well as for those who are just starting out. Course provides a good challenge without being too ridiculously difficult. Beautiful landscape. Located in a nice park.

Sooo Much Fun!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 16, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course has a huge variety not only in holes but also in layouts. You have 28 different holes which can be played in a 27 hole configuration and two different 18 hole loops. There is a great amount of OB used which makes some rather boring holes interesting and some really good holes great. Even though you don't throw over any water it still comes into play on several holes. There are multiple ace runs and several long hyzer bombs. Every tee is marked with good signs denoting what hole it is for each different layout. The plethora of next tee signs also makes navigation a breeze. There is a lot this course has to offer with holes all in the woods, holes that start in the open and finish in the woods, holes that start in the woods and finish on the open, holes that start in the woods play into the open and finish in the woods, and several all open shots.

The woods are nice and clean and the grass is all relatively short. This course is loved by someone! Maps and scorecards are available in a kiosk near the first tee. There are multiple porta potties and they are pretty clean. There is a warm up basket near the pavilion and benches and trash cans rampant throughout. There are also plenty of sports fields and a tennis court on site also.

Cons:

There is multiple criss cross of holes that might get you turned around if not paying attention. The walkways in between holes also cross over. There are multiple holes that start or finish very close to the road. The size of the tee pads could be changed to make them wider in most cases and and longer on a few holes. There are also multiple pads that need leveling as rocks and sticks are protruding. With all the information the tee sign can be a little confusing.

Other Thoughts:

One of my favorite course to play in New York so far and in my top 5 overall.

Pros:

I played J-park during an 8 course roadtrip of fantastic courses in PA,VT & NY. My method of rating new courses is to rate each hole as I play and write it on the scorecard.
5- are epic holes-well designed, challenging with one or more natural features that make it a memorable hole.
4-excellent-well designed and aesthetically pleasing with a feature that separates it from the pack.
3-solid but nothing extraordinary
2-filler
1-bad
0-really bad
The biggest "pro" of Joralemon is the quailty of the holes. Using this rating system, J-park has an astounding 17 epic (5rated holes) and 10 excellent (4 rated holes). We did not play 12b. The score averaged back to 18 holes is 83.3 which is the highest to date. So, if aethestics and natural beauty is your thing, this course is right at the top.
The run of holes across Starr road (10-18) are simply the best nine holes I could ever hope to play.
Phenomenal.

Cons:

You may need to print a map or make a sketch of the one at the kiosk.

Winner of the "Most Photogenic Course Award" 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 2, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Possibly the most aesthetically pleasing course around, the rolling hills and use of mossy rocks made for numerous interesting and attractive holes that could not be duplicated anywhere else.
Great variety in elevation, ceiling height, left and right holes, and distances with many risk vs. reward opportunities.
Long Gravel tee pads with nice colored tee signs as well as signs leading to most of the next baskets to assist with navigation and flow. The people I played with loved the unique signs to guide you to the next hole.
Porto-potties on site.
Benches or large rocks to sit on at nearly every hole.
Playground for the kids and a large picnic area
Kiosk with map on it and a mail box with score card for 18. I like that they have an option to play 18 or 27 (which is not just 1-18)
Practice Basket

Cons:

Very few cons. The amount of trees can cause some frustration if you are not on your game.
Only 1 tee pad and basket position, but there are 27 different holes, so you can change up what 18 you play.
Small chance of disc loss on some holes.
Practice basket was labeled #1 and caused confusion

Other Thoughts:

This is a solid challenging course with out being insanely frustrating for new players or too easy for advanced players.
The terrain is kind of rough and the holes are a little too challenging for young kids. Do not plan on bringing a wheeled cooler, stroller, or push cart.
There are so many great photo opportunities, if you want to bring a camera. It's hard to justify adding this course to a day trip since it is nearly 30 miles from any other course and basically in the middle of no where, but it is worth the stop if you can make it, you will not be disappointed!

J-Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 10, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

The Albany area does not have a variety of courses to choose from. However, they are very lucky to have this 28 hole gem at Joralemon Park. The course has so many different types of holes to challenge all golfers. The 1st hole will test your rolling skills, if you have them, or you will have to throw a low laser because of all the branches which creates a ceiling like effect. The 4th hole has a cool elevated pin placement on large rocks which will create some challenging puts. The 9th hole with its wide open fairway will give you the opportunity to show off your power and then with its tricky pin placement next to fast moving creek you need to be very accurate with your second shot. The first 9 holes are mostly open fairway (besides 3) that will test your power and accuracy. Starting at hole 10 it almost turns into a different course when you enter the woods. If you do not like wooded holes play hole 12b which will take you back out to the mostly open fairways. You will skip the mostly wooded area but still be able to play 18 holes. If you want to play 27 holes play hole 12a and hope you can keep your drives straight on your live to avoid all of the trees. I have never played a course with such a large number of quality holes. Hats off to Kevin and all the Disc Cappers who made this course possible.

Cons:

It would be nice if there was a spot where scores cards were available. The layout is not a problem for me because of the amount of times I have played this course but I can see how it would be confusing for first time players. This is also a challenging course which is great for "good" players but when I bring people out for the first time they get discouraged very quickly. A different set of tee boxes or pin placements would help make it friendlier for newbies. The signage is not bad but there is definitely some room for improvement. It is hard to say too many cons because they are still working on finalizing the new holes.

Other Thoughts:

This is a wonderful course that should challenge even the best golfers. The land and layout is great. Some of the little things like signs and tee pads will constantly get better as there is an extremely dedicate group of disc golfers that maintain and update this course. If you are looking for more information about Joralemon Park you can view the forums where you can find info about tourneys, doubles, or anything else you could possibly want to know about J-Park. http://www.hyzercreek.com/for...forum.php?f=6

dum de dum de... WOW!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 3, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Course is well laid-out, with lots of thought to pin placements. It makes fantastic use of natural features and terrain. It almost feels like this park is built for disc golf, with the tennis court and kid's playground an afterthought. Some of the holes - especially on the new woods holes across the street - are truly amazing; you can't believe that they got the hole in there, but they did - and it's marvelous.

Cons:

There are no amenities at all - bathroom, water, etc. The signage, while there, tends to be small. Unobtrusive, is a good word. Without a map, a first-timer would undoubtedly get lost a couple of times (I did). While there is a kiosk with some information - including a large map of the old layout - there is no information on the new layout except online. Some new course maps with scorecards would be great.

The course plays around some great, well-groomed fairways that are very likely busy with families during prime times; when I went it was empty, but still something to consider. Signage warning non-golfers that they were in/near a disc golf course would be an excellent idea; holes #2, #4, and #17/26 all go very close to areas that are likely multi-use. A spotter would be an excellent idea when other people were around.

Other Thoughts:

My first thoughts as I played this course were along the lines of "okay, this is pretty nice. Nothing fancy, but pretty nice."

Then, you get to hole #3 - which uses two big rock outcroppings as a natural dogleg fairway... hole #4, with the basket up on a big rock... hole #9 - a big D hole with a teeny, tiny gap to shoot at the end... "Okay, this is pretty f#ckin' cool. Good mix, some big D, real mix of shots required... Really nice."

Then, the course crosses the street and goes into the woods.

Two words: Holy Crap.

If you only have time or stamina for 18 holes, you're totally missing out. The woods holes are super technical, with truly imaginative pin placements; only a couple big D holes, the woods section requires finesse and really picking a line. It's new, so getting around is iffy in spots; however, there are signs and arrows and the trails between holes are bedding in. Even thought it was my first time through, I had very little problem with finding my way.

Back onto the park side, you get a break with a couple of nice ace opportunities, then the course winds around with a chance for some big air just before the end.

Cons aside, this course is on my favorites and will remain there. The woods section really impressed me, and gives this course 4.5 stars even with no amenities. With a bathroom, a water station, and some better signage it would truly be five-star.

J-Park Rocks 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Mar 31, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

18 unique holes that all require different throws. Although a strong arm helps on a few holes (#4,6,7,12), you need a wide variety finesse shots to survive the rest. Fantastic use of the woods and rock outcroppings. Disc golf is new to Albany so the course is usually not crowded. The town does a decent job keeping the fairways mowed and the local club keeps the woods clean. The local club is also dedicated to keeping the tees snow free during the winter months.

I learned to play on this course over the past 3 years. When I travel to other courses, I find them easy because Joralemon has forced me to learn many shots, get creative, and look for clear shots from many angles.

Water: comes into play on holes 5 and the newly designed 15 (April 2009).

Low Ceilings: hole 3, 11 require low long throws. many call this a con- i call it a challenge.

You can see the Pin from every tee box (except 4 and 14).

Cons:

Topography: Kevin, Tim and Greg incorporated every possible vertical up and down possible from the land. While there is some vertical, it is not a mountain course.

Length: hole 4 could be considered a par 4; the new hole 12 (April 2009) is apar 4. I would like to see another 1 or 2 par 4's.

Need better next tee signage between hles 2 and 3. #3 tee box is ntext to the road.

First time players confuse Pin #1 for Pin #14. Pin #14 is a hard dogleg right after you come out of the woods.

Location: it is not close enough to my house.

Many ticks that contain Lyme. Check yourself when you get home.

Other Thoughts:

A great course supported by a dedicated local club. If you are in the area, you should take the time to stop by. Approximately 15 minutes off I-87 Exit 22.

Great course for beginners and pros alike 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 5, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great course with fantastic mix of technical wooded holes and fun open holes. There are holes here for everybody. Whether your favorite shot is a roller, forehand, backhand, or overhand there are holes at J-Park for you.

Updated Pros: The new 27 hole option raises this course to new stratosphere. In the summer of 2009 Discap learned that they would be loosing holes 14-18 due to environmental concerns. Course founder Kevin Rounds was able to take this news and convert if from (Jora)lemons to (Jora)lemonade by petitioning the town to fund relocation and expansion into the eastern half of the park. The Discap crew has done yeomens work forging the new holes have been rewarded with one of the best courses in the region.

Cons:

Only cons are gravel tee-pads, DB-5 baskets, and port-a-jons. None of which detracts from my enjoyment of this course at all. In fact the gravel pads are better then some rubber ones I've played and the DB-5s are in very good shape. When these 3 things are upgraded I will give this course a 5.

Updated Cons: DB-5 baskets have been improved with new inner chains since I my original review. The Frankenstein DB-5 with DGA # plates and added chains are still not ideal but they are a great economical option. The gravel tees on the new holes are still a work in progress. During wet months bugs will be an issue in the new areas, bring some heavy duty spray. With the loss of the old holes flow is not as good as it once was. The course could benefit from the holes being renumbered but this would mean changes to holes 1 and 27 which are great the way they are. It would be great if the town would allow the re-establishment of the old hole 18 as this would be a perfect transition between current holes 1 and 27.

Other Thoughts:

This course could not have been done any better with the resources that were available. Its a ton of fun and every time I play it I feel like I have improved my game. I love that bad throws here can really punish your score without causing you to spend a ton of time searching for plastic (or on-line buying new plastic).

My favorite hole is 4. A 460 foot dog leg left with the pin tucked into the woods atop a large rock formation.

Updated favorite hole is 11. The hole plays slightly left to right 350'+ with a algae carpeted swamp to the right. The green is framed beautifully requiring you to throw between or around two massive, compact car sized boulders.

Nice beautiful course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 13, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Great layout, the open fairways have several routes to choose, the woods holes are well thought out. Rocks and small elevations come into play. The park is absolutely gorgeous.

Cons:

Some of the woods holes are too tight and narrow, but that's only on a couple of them. DB5's are OK not fantastic.

Other Thoughts:

Great group of disc golfers who throw nice tournaments. Disc golf is new around there but growing fast thanks to the dedicated crew.

Low Cieling 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 15, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Great design, I think mother nature wanted a disc golf course here. The rock outcroppings play very nicley into the course. Great mix of holes, with at least 2 true par 4's.

Cons:

DB-5 baskets spit just a little more than mach 5 or discatchers.

Other Thoughts:

Go play it!
