Pros:

- free to play, plenty of parking
- concrete tees
- tee signs with large numbers, easy to see from far away and lists distances
- quality baskets
- numbered baskets
- course starts and finishes at parking lot
- low traffic
- beginner friendly
- course design does a good job incorporating the park trees for mild shot shaping
- well maintained landscaping
- lots of shade
- ace runs

Cons:

- near a busy road
- course borders a fence line
- fairways mostly open
- fairway overlap
- course limited by size of the park
- flat course
- limited access, base course
- located next to a flightline, which could get gusty and loud at any moment

Other Thoughts:

Keesler AFB is a short to medium length beginner friendly 9 hole course. The tees are concrete, the grass was low, and the fairways were forgiving. For some reason the baskets were mounted in large circular slabs of concrete. They're damn near as big as the tee pads! This is one of those courses that you could use a large assortment of discs or just a few and still have a good time. I found myself emptying my entire bag of more than a couple holes, looking for perfect lines. They did a great job using the available trees to create shot shaping opportunities. It was simple yet fun

The only downers were that a couple holes played too close to the main road or a fence line, the fairways overlapped in places, and access to the course is somewhat limited. Other than that, I'd say it was more fun than the average course of that size and orientation. A few of the base gates are closed on weekends, go to the gate near a Burger King (back?), take the first left after entering base and the course is on your left. You can't miss it.
