#8 is the longest downhill hole on the course and presents numerous challenges and options for playing it. The scattered trees don't give you a lot of margin for error if you throw a straight drive. Also, if you do throw it straight down the hill, you can easily hyzer into some bad rough to the left of the green. Another approach is to throw a hyzer to the left of the scattered fairway trees, but keeping it left of the more numerous trees around the #9 tee. If you can snake it through this way, your tee shot has a great chance of skipping right to the hole.
