Pros:

There are some nice holes or at least, some nice places to throw discs around. There are even some tight lines in there, albeit short ones. It's a nice park. Good baskets.

Cons:

Well-suited for no one. Mostly very short holes that will bore a player of any experience. There's not a lot of challenge here. It might be a good beginner course if there weren't so many places that a new player could put one into nasty shule.

So, so many, NAGS. At least half of these holes are impossible birdies for even top players. There is just no line that anyone could make. Well unless someone has a new shot like a double-s or something. Some of the tees are so small that you can't even stand and deliver on them. Others have trees way too close so that any sort of follow-through could result in smashing a hand. Just weird, weird shaped fairways. At the same time, these same holes are pretty much guaranteed pars. I'm not one that makes a big deal out of scoring separation, but man, I'm throwing a three on them 99 times out of 100.

The front nine (well after the insane first two holes) has some better shots with enjoyable lines.....that go right through the parking lot and often close to the park road.

Other Thoughts:

I'm not going to belabor the ills here. In short, Wauburg is not worth the time.

Pros:

Discs available for checkout with a UF Gator 1 ID (no charge). Course is well shaded which is a huge plus in Florida. Can finish the course in less than an hour by virtue of the short distance. Course is pretty well spread out in the park and only has a couple minor switchbacks.

Cons:

Course is very short. Could almost play the entire course with only your putter. Tee pads are very small (about 4' long or so), but this isn't much of a problem since you don't need a lot of distance on your drives. Some of the holes can be hard to navigate if it is your first time at this course.

Other Thoughts:

This is the perfect course for the casual player or if you have a lot of guests in town. This course does not require much skill but if you get off the fairway you can end up crawling around in palmettos or spanish bayonets and then pulling ticks off of yourself for days.
