Small, Easy Park Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 16, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Tee Signs: Signs were clear and well marked
-Park Amenities: Washroom facilities and parking lot on site
-Shot variety: 9 holes offer several shot lines throughout
-Maintenance: Lawn is mowed well, and facilities are generally in good condition
-Baskets: New baskets are numbered in orange, and are easy to see from a distance

Cons:

-Small Teepads: The teepads were absolutely tiny. That being said, the short holes don't require too much of a run-up. But the tees definitely feel crowded
-Holes too close together: With much traffic, discs from other holes become too much of a danger
-Lack of distance: While the park is open, no holes over 300 feet provide no opportunity to practice driving
-Long Walks, Little Flow: Some holes were really far apart, and others doubled back on each other. The course seemed to have nearly no natural flow between holes

Other Thoughts:

This course is easy to score on, and thus fun to play, but provides very little challenge to the advanced player. Worth a quick round if you are in the area, but not worth too much of a drive

Typical Small Town City Park Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 6, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Good baskets
-Good Signage
-Good teepads
-Course map at start
-Easy to follow and not long walks between holes
-Probably won't lose a disc here
-They use the limited elevation changes well
-Easy to find and there is an ample parking lot right near hole 1

Cons:

-High traffic park with other activities than disc golfing. Watch out for people using the trails especially.
-Not the longest course, this course is more of a beginner course than most
-This is pretty open and it can get quite windy

Other Thoughts:

There isn't anything specifically bad about this course. The fact is, it is just a typical small town city park course. It is fairly short and not too challenging. You have to share the park with others. It is good for a quick round or two but it may become old after a few rounds.
