great course 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 11, 2003 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

24 holes, open and wooded, steep elevation changes, a creek, well maintained, beautiful park, in the Cincy area.

One of the best par 3 courses that I have played. No true pars 4's for Adv or Pro's but a very fun course.

Great starting and finishing downhill throws on 1 and 24. Hole #22 is scenic and fun to throw several tee shots on! Cement tees and good baskets.

Cons:

I walked this course on 4/21/09 a day after heavy rain, it was extremely wet and muddy. Some of the fairways and trails to the next hole were dangerously slippery with mud.

Some tee signs are missing so print a map. Simple next tee signs or arrows would be helpful for the 1st time player.

Not an easy walk, bring hiking shoes.

Other Thoughts:

I have played Banklink aka Lincoln Ridge 7 times while on disc golf road trips btw 2005 and 2018 and plan to keep returning here, it's a very fun course to play.

After #4 go straight across the lot, don't miss #5 and #6.

After #21, go around the guard rail and cross the park entrance road, 22 and 23 are across the park road, cross the road again for 24.This not well marked still in 2017.

It's at least 4.25 but not quite 4.5 so 4 stars overall, I'm a tough course reviewer. It's 4.5 star fun!

Elevation! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 1, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

I played this on a somewhat windy day, and despite the havoc it wreaked on my game, I loved this course! It's a beautiful course, first of all, with imposing old growth trees and a gorgeous stream wending through the back of the course. Many of the holes are about elevation, including one which requires a straight-down-the-hill shot that can land you in the stream. The holes are easy to find, are well-marked, have great tees, and are set up logically. An alternate tee and several alternate holes make sure you don't have to play the same game each time. Wooded and open holes make for a well-rounded game that requires you use all your arsenal of shots.

Cons:

Not a course for players unwilling to walk a little bit or go up and down hills. A few muddy spots make for some fun times.

Other Thoughts:

Really fun course to play that will challenge your distance and accuracy.

Hidden Jewel, but still a Little Brother 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Extremely clean. beautiful setting. variety of hole-types. Well groomed. One of the better courses I have played.

Cons:

It will always be considered Idlewild's little brother.

Other Thoughts:

I absolutely loved this park. The views. The design. One of only a few courses that i can say would be fun for big arms and accuracy kings. If you stop by and play this course, i can assure your that you will not be disappointed.

top 3 in Cincy 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 27, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

fantastic course - great mix of open and wooded shots - more then 18 holes - multiple pin placements, course is well taken care of and for sure in the top 3 must play around the cincy area - multiple elevation changes, nearly every hole has birdie possibliities but its ever so hard to avoid the bogies that happen along the way
