Pros:

+concrete tee pads
+nice views of the lake on a few holes
+good mix of heavy woods and moderate woods holes with some OB here and there
+three par fours that make it interesting
+clean restrooms behind 18's tee pad

Cons:

-no benches
-two holes with unnecessary mandos

Other Thoughts:

Recently upgraded with nice concrete teepads, Eagles Nest is a nice complimentary course to the massive Eagles Landing course in the same park at Little Black Creek, and the two courses make for the premier tournament location on Mississippi's gulf coast.

Eagles Nest is shorter, has less walking between holes and less elevation changes than Eagles Landing, so it's much more beginner-friendly and it's cart-friendly as well. Bring a chair for your round though as there aren't any benches to relax on.

There are several memorable holes on the Nest that spice things up. Hole 9 is the first par 4 that blasts out of a woods tunnel into a little more open area that still requires a precise upshot to the pin to card the birdie. Hole 11 is a downhill shot with OB on the left and thick woods on the right that is unfriendly to RHBH throwers but also requires a really accurate lefty backhand over the OB to reach the green. 17 is another downhill short shot but surrounded by OB roads on both sides of the 40 foot wide fairway. And 18 is a wide open shot to a tiny peninsula by the lake that really gets fun on a windy day.

Holes 8 and 14 have mandos on them, but they're unnecessary if you ask me. 8's mando forces players to the left side before the fairway breaks back to the right, but the right side of the fairway before the mando is thick rough woods and shots going in there would be penalized anyway. The mando doesn't guard another fairway so it's kinda puzzling why it's there. Then on the par 4 hole 14 there's another similar set-up, with the mando forcing players to the left but the right side of the fairway is again thick rough that most players can't throw over. I guess the mando is to prevent players from attempting to throw over this rough, but to carry it would require at least a 350 foot shot that's at least 20 feet high at the end of the 350 feet, with plenty of taller pine trees to miss along the way, so only the biggest of big arms would have a chance if they tried that route.

Pros:

Little Black Creek is a great park in Mississippi with a large lake, some forest, hills, and lots of picnic areas. This makes it beautiful, and very popular for all people, disc golf or not.

The course is not the primary course on the property, with no real tees marked by more than a couple flags. But with a map navigation is pretty easy.

The distance on the holes is pretty reasonable. Takes a good drive with power and accuracy to be in position, but for the vast majority of the holes you will have a clear second shot/approach. You play around most of the thick woods instead of through them.

Honestly there's not a whole lot to say here. Kind of a "you played one 3 disc course you played them all" situation. Nothing too spectacular, but overall satisfying.

Cons:

Being around the boat ramp, several holes were unplayable because of pic-nic'ers and recreational park users, or played too close to a parking lot that had cars in it.

The dirt unmarked tee's with no signs weren't great, but given this is kind of temporary course from the impressions I got.

Other Thoughts:

This course is great for a quick stop, right by the gate, except you still have to pay the $3 entry fee. But if you pay both courses it's more than worth it.

Being the second course on this property, the other one is obviously the better course. This one is great, but it is really overshadowed by the Eagle's Landing course on the other side of the lake.
