Nice 9 Hole Course In Town! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

The McCall 9 plays in cut through a small, undeveloped city park. It's like a small wilderness course stuck in a small park in the middle of the city.
It has a nice course sign at the start. The tee pads are natural. They're rough in places and could use some work. The tee signs are nice little wooden signs which won't hold up to the vandals. # 1 sign is already broke. The baskets are Discatchers with the yellow band. They have the hole # on the side which helps. The listed pars are elementary type pars such as # 3 being a 242 Par 4.
The hole distances are long enough through this thick forest that you can get confused as to which basket you're throwing to. Navigation is a little confusing in places. Maybe when more people have played and routes between baskets and tees have become more established, it might be easier to follow.

Cons:

Right now much of the course has the feel of a wilderness area and not so much of that of a city park. As the course gets more play, brush will get broke down and paths will become more visible.
The tee pads need work.
Signs are pretty but susceptible to vandalism.
Agree that this course should have some "Next hole" signs.
Seasonal course as McCall gets lots of snow.

Other Thoughts:

The McCall area has a nice variety of courses with Tamarack and Bogus Basin not that far away. Makes for a pretty great little disc golf excursion and then there's the lake here in McCall. But hotel prices are not cheap! It's a touristy area and they charge for it.
