Pros:
Free, open to public and easy to access anytime. Park in south overflow lot of Lake Superior College.
Is in a roughly maintained parkland area with no other uses so it is easy to play a quick round or practice with out interference from other users
Tee areas, fairways, and baskets have been relatively well maintained and clear/clean the last two years. Paver tee pads on all holes and great baskets. Thanks to who ever is volunteering to keep this course in playing shape. Lots of work.
No real longs holes, but it is a fun course with almost all holes offering an interesting and challenging bird for good players and a good par challenge for lower level players like me. Lots of elevation changes and well guarded pins to make play challenging and fun.
Cons:
This course is not in a well-groomed parkland setting. It is in a rugged area with lots of long thick grass and wooded rough with very limited maintenance.
The course is maintained by volunteers and up keep and clearing is limited so rough and grassy areas can start to get overgrown in the summer. There are several areas where it can be very difficult to find discs, especially in mid summer with longer grass.
Paver tee pads are little short and not all in great condition.
Signs and hole markers are very limited. Course layout is not bad, but a couple holes cross each other and it is very hard to follow the course between some of the holes the first time playing. You will almost for sure need to find a course map or get help on the layout the first time playing.
Course is short and mostly easy to walk, but there are several shorter steep climbs.
Other Thoughts:
Fun local course for a quick challenging round. Thanks to the volunteers that keep this course up.
