Pros:

This is really a tale of 2 different courses lol. It's a 15 hole course that starts with a fun slightly downhill hole 1 around 325 feet. Park when you first pull in and course will start right by entrance with a tee sign for hole 1. Hole 2 then plays down towards the water construction has been done here and the course map will be a little off just take a estimated guess for the tee pad there. Hole 3 is for sure a pro a super risky 300 and some foot hole that you can throw big hyzer over the river or forehand line over the ob road to try for the two. It's a very iconic and great hole separator and good hole. Honestly holes 1-8 are all good holes and on the pro side. Baskets are fading and in okay condition. Lots of parking and some cool shots you don't normally see on courses, with great view of river and some cool iconic pictures can be taken...layout is somewhat easy to follow even with no map or signs

Cons:

The cons might actually out way the pros here though. Every hole after 8 is just not good...12 and 15 in the long are actually two of the worst holes I've seen as no maintanance has been done here what so ever..they're both borderline unplayable. It floods in the winter making some of the course not playable. In the summer events block some of the holes and current construction going on there might stop some. Making the course not all playable often. Like I said every hole after hole 8 is just not good either no real line or just plain boring field shots. There's no tee signs on about half the holes, and no marked out tee pads on the other half. First timers would be lost for that reason.

Other Thoughts:

The course has some potential but without constant work it's just that potential in current condition you're better off heading another 20 minutes in any direction. I appreciate the intial effort and wish it continued and made some changes to keep it playable or enjoyable

Flawed Course Has Some Fun And Challenging Throws! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 12, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Riverside Park, at first appears to be squeezed in between Main Street and the river but then you discover a whole other area of the park across the murky little creek. The main park area has a lovely little bandstand/spectator area. It would be great for performances in the park.

After asking a park maintenance man, I figured out that the course started right where I drove in. The small, green metal tee signs have great information but their smallish size and green coloring make them pretty difficult to spot. The tees are clearly marked spots on sidewalks. The baskets are Discatchers.
Although there are many challenging holes here, too many holes might be considered safety concerns for some players. # 1 is a long 325' shot that plays down a narrow of land. The street and parked cars on the left could be an issue here.
# 6 is another that folks might have a concern about. I actually liked it but I see people's concern. It's 325' up a road to a basket set up on a hillside. I guess park users could be walking down this road as it is kind of a blind throw to the basket.
And then the following hole, # 7, might have pedestrian concerns as well. On # 7, you tee off from up near the restrooms and your throwing over a small fence initially and then way out over a lower park area. It was a really fun throw this morning when the park was empty but I wonder how many players would be willing to skip it if there other park users down there near the basket?

I gotta mention hole # 3 here. I don't know whether to list it as a pro or a con. It's probably both. In the Long position it plays 350' with River on the right the entire way. The river has eroded this embankment along here so it's very steep and treacherous. Along with that, the basket sits on a small peninsula, just 6' from the road which is OB on the left. It's only about 4' to the embankment on the right and there's only about 6' behind the basket. This is one scary, difficult, challenging hole in the Long position. I chose to play it very conservatively.
I thought # 8 which is the short carry across the creek was a cool little hole with a slight anhyser needed at the end.

Cons:

After # 8, the course kinda came apart for me. I never found # 9. The holes around the soccer field all felt like fillers. They were mostly long, wide open field throws. And I never end quite found # 13.

And that brings us to # 15. Previous reviewer Discbear was spot on in his critique of 15. I wouldn't attempt to play that hole with your Momma's disc. The likelihood of losing your disc in the murky water is off the charts high, I can't see many players attempting to play it, especially when the basket is in the Long Position. I would, however, like to watch advanced and pro players play it in a tournament setting

Other Thoughts:

As flawed as the design of this course is, I still enjoyed playing it. It's true that I didn't try to complete # 3 and wouldn't even consider playing 15. I did like 6 & 7, even with their safety concerns. They're both enjoyable throws with good challenge. I was actually kind of shocked at the extremely low ratings the two previous reviewers gave this course, not that I'm questioning them. I just happen to feel that it does have some redeeming qualities.
