You must...Shoot the Moose! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 1, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-New Tees extend many lanes into a full challenge course.
- I still live the original tee pads as well and make it a great family course.
-Pro shop and staff are very nice .
- Wonderful mix of open and wooded shots.
-Good use of elevation (#18 is a blast)
-Grounds are well maintained. This course is cared for and kept up.
-Pro shop sells adult beverages.
- And you can't beat the Moose Basket

Cons:

-The only con was it was a "short" course but new tee pads now give you a choice to play "long."

Other Thoughts:

I enjoy The Moose! I think it now has everything for everyone and all skill levels. I would highly recommend this course to introduce someone to the game.

Confidence Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 3, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Confidence builder for beginners to intermediate level players. I like playing this course to harness my skills, especially approach shots.
There are some technical shots with baskets being tucked away behind hillsides or trees and in some locations baskets are a straight shot down the fairway.
Well-maintained and the path ways are clear to traverse to each tee.

Cons:

Wish they had another 9 baskets, a bit more distance and technical.

Other Thoughts:

A 4 Star rating for what it is...a confidence building course. Fun course to play for all skill levels.

Great course for beginners 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 9, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Shoot shots. Great place to build strengthson your weaker shots. Also, it is a great place to go for casual play with birdie alley. Easy course to shoot under par and boost confidence.

Cons:

Sometimes the wind can get annoying. Sometimes.

Other Thoughts:

All around great course. The people are nice. The club house is great.

Short and fun 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 18, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well designed and well maintained, the Moose is a great place to play a casual round in the White Mountains. The layout of the course is geared toward the novice with most of the holes being very short. The setting is very nice through woods and fields with a good amount of ups and downs. There are some well-built footbridges over babbling brooks that are good places to pause for a quick rest. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the spacious clubhouse is stocked with discs, snacks and beer.

Cons:

Length. It is one of the shortest 18 holers out there. The signs are a bit too close to the tees on some holes.

Other Thoughts:

Shoot the Moose. It is an extremely fun round and the clubhouse is cool. Play a round with Tex if he's around. He's the designer and a good player.

Impressive that it just opened 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 28, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well groomed course
Fun to play
Excellent club house
'Birdie Alley' is lots of fun

Cons:

Rough off of the fairways
Still needs some clean up on a couple of holes

Other Thoughts:

The course opened about two months before I played it but I would have guessed it had been around for years based on how well most of the holes are groomed. In the middle of the course it looks a little rough where they cut and mulched trees but the play is still excellent. The first 9 offer a shot variation that makes the course fun and 'birdie alley' in the back 9 offer an exciting opportunity to get some aces. The club house is equipped with a bar and actually serves alcohol!
While it isn't has challenging as some other courses in NH it is a very fun course that will have me coming back over and over. Well worth the trip just to play it a couple of times a day. If Tex, the designer, is around he'll probably play a round with you as he did with us.
