Great course with great community support! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 3, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Thoughtful course layout challenges all skill levels and player types. Some elevation changes on a few holes, but mostly flat, allowing you to easily get in multiple rounds without exhaustion setting in. League members and volunteers redesigned the layout in 2015, changing up 9 holes and making use of previously uncharted land to add 4 new lengthy holes in the back of the park. There are now 2 par 4's, a rock-mounted basket, a hanging basket, and several new benches and tables to take a rest as you enjoy your day.

Cons:

While tee-pads were upgraded to newer rubber, they can still be a bit slick during winter and wet rounds. Usually there is plenty of space on the side of pad to throw in these cases. The local community of league players is working with the town to upgrade the pad surfaces again this year with a better rubber material. Stay tuned!

Other Thoughts:

Overall a great course with a great community playing there and maintaining it. It has come a LONG way since it was first established 10 years ago or so. If you haven't played it recently, you probably haven't played it at all. I help run the league that plays Tuesday nights @ 5:30 pm from spring to fall. Come out and play a round with us!

At its best in 2016 Summer! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 22, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good for beginners, still somewhat challenging for advanced players. Constant design improvements since Spring '14. Just played again in Summer '16. Even better than ever. Visual target from box, fewer tree obstacles, just better course overall. Love love love it.

Cons:

Buggy due to wet lands during mid-late summer. Can be a lil' crowded at times. No public toilet boxes.

Other Thoughts:

If you haven't visited this course after April '14, please play it again. There are now loads of improvements. If you have already rated this course, play again and raise your ranking accordingly as you see fit. The improvements are THAT much better. We converted from meh about this course to now one of our top favorites.
