Pros:
Muskingum College DGC is a pretty standard campus course set on beautiful property. It winds its way over the rolling hills and between various patches of trees.
It's always encouraging to see a small college provide nice tee pads and baskets. It shows that someone put a lot of effort getting this put in the ground, and that the college made a nice commitment to offer it to students.
The course offers some fun shots combination elevation changes and multiple lines around trees. This is a great layout for new players to learn how to play and try many different shots. I'd imagine that this was the main intention of building this course, so well done.
Per usual on a campus course, it is immaculately groomed, even when I played in the summer. Not too many chances to lose discs here.
Cons:
The navigation was pretty confusing throughout the round, as well as simply finding hole 1. The map on the site is hand drawn (and I believe outdated). It is pretty tough to figure out without a guide. What also makes this tougher is some holes no longer have concrete tees and are natural and unmarked.
The holes often play near sidewalks and roads, so it would be tough to comfortably play here during peak hours.
Other Thoughts:
As I said above, this is a pretty standard college course, for good and for bad. It definitely serves its purpose - I would've loved to have had this course at my college to play in between classes (and before, and after). But it's a pretty confusing layout for someone to just drop in and play.
