Course layout is confusing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 2, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Some baskets are marked with PVC pipes that help with locating the basket from the T pads. Most baskets have red tape streamers. Some holes have yellow cardboard arrows showing which was to the next T pad.

Cons:

There is no accurate map available. The course changed after Library remodel was completed, old T pad 6 is now T pad 1 without new markers, which is the info written on a concrete T pad kind of near 18th basket. New T pads are concrete tiles or rubber mats.

Other Thoughts:

The park folks need to get a new map on paper, and remove old T pad number markers.

Wear socks 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 5, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

A few holes fit the basic standards of reasonability for fairway width and number of obstacles

Cons:

Too may palmetto bushes. These things are ridiculously dense. Lost a Star Beast in plain sight. Devoured by the palmetto. Many fairways are just too tight to allow for a standard disc flight pattern.

Other Thoughts:

Trash/beer cans marred a particular section near the lake.

bring pants, patience, a spotter and bright discs 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 31, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

-It has some signage and has cement tees.
- A few interesting shots, somewhat scenic landscape.

Cons:

-The holes are not rewarding of good shots, and punish most shots too severely. The rough is ROUGH- several holes shoot blindly and far over or along thick palmettos, leaving you no way to watch your disc fly or land, and having to search through a sharp plant endlessly.
-Two holes are so bad they should be skipped.
-Not very well maintained, yet not overgrown or blocked in or anything like that.
-Tricky navigation sometimes (but solveable).

Other Thoughts:

It's rough and tough to play, if that's not your thing then it's not fun to play. Easy to lose a disc, almost impossible not to. You NEED a spotter, both to find discs and help you fight off the creepy bum on #14.
