Water, water , and rapids galore, after this course you will be wanting more! This course is anything but average. It has great risk reward opportunities, no hole is like the next, great baskets. Long great course worth the trip. Holes 3, 12, 11, 8, 9, 7, 4. Just a great course. Pretty scenery, like the rapids next to basket 7. This is by far the second best course i have ever played. It is worth any drive to visit a cource with such great things coming at you on every single hole you play (except the new 1 2 3 4). I recomend any one come to this course!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No tee signs. A real bummer for people with bad knees.

This course is up there with Tyler, yet it is no comparison. If you want to have a more relaxing game, skip hole 1-4, they are no fun, 14 on this course is like 27 on another.

New first 4 holes are great to kick off the day. The new holes have few trees on the fairway, except for #3. This course is pro caliber course when it comes to the pars on these tough holes. Great use of terrain with hills, trees and water. Outstanding view of the lake on some holes. There is a bathroom with a water fountain. Every hole on this course has it's own different play and feel. Never does it feel as if your playing the same hole twice.

Boots or old sneakers is the way to go. This course has rock gardens with rocks ranging from pumpkin size to boulders. Off of fairway is a jungle so track your disc like a hawk. Honestly this park is a disc thief so don't take your eye of your throw. On Hole #7 and #9 the grass towards the pin is not cut and very long. At Hole #10 there are carpenter bees all about the bathrooms but they aren't a problem. Hole #17 has a little pond to the left of the fairway about 250 ft down. Also, on the same hole a big pond is right behind the pin so tone the shot down. The course par is not forgiving one bit, every throw must count. If you don't bring your A-game don't even think about bringing a scorecard.

New Hole #1 is located at the bottom of the lot near old hole 6 (now 10) Hole #3 has a mean dogleg to the right about 100-120 ft out. Hole #8 has the pin hanging from a tree. (i rolled a disc because I was behind a V tree and it hit the roots and popped in for birdie...yeah I'm bragging) Great course just stay on fairway with safe shots and you will have a fine day.

The extra 4 holes are great! I always felt slightly cheated with only 14 holes. By far the toughest course I've ever played.

It is a love/ hate relationship. It is the course that truly challenges me. If I get single digits over PAR, I consider it a great round!

Thick patches of overgrowth as well as some deep water make losing discs easy. Tees have no map depicting hole location, must rely on map on back of scorecard. Holes are fixed, not mobile like other local parks.

All in all a good afternoon course. There are serious challenges such as steep elevation shifts, narrow fairways, & water hazards galore. As a novice I found the course challenging at points, forgiving at others. Definitely worth a trip.

A great use of elevation changes to make holes more difficult and take advantage of the surrounding views of this beautiful park. There are several holes where water comes into play, that make an already difficult hole that much more challenging.

There are maps available, tee signs on all holes, and each basket has a bright red flag on top of it so it is easier to be seen from a distance. This is a good thing, because the baskets are a long long way away.

No two holes play the same, look the same or challenge you the same. You won't get bored, even with four less holes than traditionally normal. This course will test your short, long finesse and power games. Be prepared to throw all your shots and bring all your discs.

There is plenty of parking available and there is a bathroom on site.

Very few cons to this course. Obviously only 14 holes, so hopefully a reconfigure of the course or added land can create 4 more holes. On the back holes, 6 - 14, the terrain is very rugged. It would be very difficult to use a cart, and 13 and 14 were kind of swampy. On 13 and 14, you need to step on the rocks to keep your shoes dry. Therefore, you need some agility, so less nimble folks may have difficultly on this part of the course.

Believe the hype on this course. It had to be one of the, if not the hardest courses, I've ever played on. Playing it blind, with only the map, doesn't give you the true sense on how long and difficult some of these holes are. There are several holes that are long. Hole #6 is appropriately named, because you'll probably score a 6 on it, and be thankful that you did, this hole is extremely long.

There are some unique features on this course. A hanging basket on #4, a beautiful waterfall on #7. Breath taking views from basket #2 and tee #3 of the nearby marina and lake.

You won't be disappointed with these 14 holes and you'll be wishing for 4 more so you can truly know what a butt whopping is like.

The layout & length of this course is truely a pro caliber course (tho only 14 holes) Long requiring accurate drives. Mostly wooded but even open holes have plenty of trees. Once close range there is enough space to work. Lots of tough elevation changes. Tons of beautiful streams & photogenic background holes. Extremely photoworthy in SUMMERTIME. In my opinion one of the most challenging/ my favorites in PA.

Tee pads & pin positions can be hard to navigate if you've never been there or don't have a course map. Needs just a few more bridges at some points too(Unless you mind crossing on jagged rocks, I dont!). Also if your a newer/recreational player may cause you never to want to play again. lol. Can also be muddy in the wrong season. Lastly this course will truly beat up your discs. Tons of rocks in & on the ground will punish even the best shots. (good for working in newer discs for sure!!

This course is an awesome top performer course, but I can't believe they need help maintaining this course (I found out talking to some locals). I don't live in the region, but I encourage all locals!! make this your home course and help maintain this beauty before it gets lost forever. Definatley worth your time!!

Nockamixon has to be one of the most challenging courses in PA. Although an unorthodox 14 holes at this time, this course handles you like few 18 hole courses can. Nockamixon offers a wooded, boulder laden, hilly and extremely challenging 14 holes of disc golf.
Holes 1-5 are relatively open with an assortment of elevation. Hole 1 is a mildly wooded long hole. Hole 2 has one of the fastest greens ever, if you miss the basket you are guaranteed a long roll down the hill so playing it safe generally is the best idea. Hole 3 is a long downhill shot and hole 4 is a long uphill drive to the signature hanging basket. Holes 6-14 play through dense woods interspersed with multiple creeks and lots of elevation change. Hole six is an incredibly long hole with multiple doglegs. Holes 7 and 8 have lots of water in play. The pin placement on hole 7 is magnificent. Two creeks cascade down either side of the basket to create a serene beautiful placement. Hole 8 is a steep uphill drive over a creek. Hole 9 is a long straight drive with the pin placed on a cliff overlooking the creek below. Hole 10 is a tight fairway skirting a creek. Holes 11 and 12 feature long drives through densely wooded fairways. The pin placement on hole 12 is surrounded by water and looks very pretty. Hole 13 is another long tight fairway with the pin placed next to water. Hole 14 finishes off with a tight dogleg to a pin placed near the restrooms adjacent to the parking lot.
Nockamixon is only 14 holes but the length of the holes, extreme elevation changes and rocky terrain make this course play like 18. This course is extremely challenging and will humble many a player. This course also has no filler holes, every hole is unique and challenging.
There are signs at each tee and signs directing you to the next hole. The tee pads are rubber and are generally in decent shape.
The baskets each have a large orange flag which makes it easier to spot from the tee. Due to the sheer length and elevation changes of many of the holes this was a big plus.
This course is absolutely picturesque, the terrain is beautiful and on the back nine it was so quiet and the stream waterfalls were very peaceful. The views over the Mariana are amazing as well.

This course is wet. I am assuming that the many creeks running through the course don't help much. Bring good footgear and old pants.
The course is pretty spread out and if you miss the little signs directing you to the next hole it could easy to get lost (especially on the back 9). I didn't have much trouble, just be sure to follow the signs.
This course is a bear, so be forewarned it will tax your endurance and patience both physically and mentally.

The course is close to several other great courses in the area including Unami, Tinicum and the Bethlehem area courses even Tyler State Park isn't too far away.
There are restrooms located at the far end of the parking lot near hole 6 although they are closed for the winter months.
It would be nice if it was a full 18 holes ... but its not necessary.
This course is tough, but still well worth playing! A must play for anyone in the area.

This course is extremely challenging, but is a great place to learn some new skills. There is every type of hole possible..water, uphill, downhill, open grass, thick woods, etc. Bring your hiking shoes, because it's long.

It's very easy to lose discs here! It would be perfect if there was 18 holes as well.It can be hard to find your way around at certain points.

It is a very wet course, so be prepared...
overall, a must play for the patient and experienced

This course is tough. If you are a pro you will be challenged here by the tight fairways and long controlled drives.

If your disc fades off the fairway into 1 of the main potato patches of rocks you might not be able to find it. There are some deep cavernous holes between some of these large boulders making it difficult to locate even a bright colored disc.

If you really want to cool an over confident friend's game take them to Noc. They will leave humbled.

This review has been updated to include the "missing" four holes. These holes are now #1-#4. They flow right into the old #1, which is now, #5. #1 tee is near the bathrooms at the bottom of the parking lot.

This course has a ton of variety. There is a lot to see and throw here. There is nearly everything you could want in a disc golf course: tight, wooded holes, big drives off the top of hills, elevated baskets, hanging baskets, holes that require discipline and planning, spectacular greens, water, risk - this is a complete course.

There were numerous memorable holes: #4's elevated basket, #6's very fast green (tough approach for a lefty like me), #7's hilltop tee, #11's green with water flowing in the backdrop, #13's canopied drive, #14's decision making risk vs reward tee shot, to #16's tiny green you have to drop your disc onto. This is a very memorable course.

There are lots of rocks, and thus, lots of rock walls - which always look cool to me. As I mentioned earlier, water comes into play on many of the holes.

For the most part it was easy to find your way around the course. There are signs for next tee and such. A map will be helpful for a first-timer, though (once they are made to include the new holes).

This course is a challenge and will beat up your discs as well as your legs. I especially enjoyed the little touches - the prime example being hole #8. There were fences and posts that look like they have been there for decades, which in this case is a good thing. It reminded me of a place where you would tie your horse up to relax under a tree. A wonderful view of the lake, plus a hanging basket there (popped my hanging basket cherry!). All of this is on one hole.

This course has it all and is wonderful fun to play.

A vast majority of the cons are alleviated after your first visit to Nockamixon. The biggest con is the navigation of individual holes and not knowing where you are throwing to, how far the basket is from the tee, or how the fairway is shaped. Very few baskets can you see from the tee. All this being the case, this course is not first-time friendly. Tee signs are simply just numbers: "Tee 3" for example. Getting from hole to hole is pretty easy, as there are next tee signs and well worn paths, but you have no clue how a hole plays until you've played it.

There is a strange cluster of baskets and tee pads where the course kind of loops over itself. It doesn't mess things up really, but walking from #11's basket and seeing #15 tee was confusing for a bit.

There is a tad bit of repetition in some of the holes: #3, #10, and #18 are all very similar: heavily wooded doglegs.

The ground is pretty rocky in the woods, so be aware of that. The rocks help you avoid the mud that the other reviews have mentioned. #17 had an asphalt road running down the middle of it. I thought that was odd.

This course isn't going to be fun for new people to the sport. It is quite challenging and can be almost frustrating if you aren't lined up on the fairway.

This is one of my favorite courses to play. It is disc golf exactly how I like disc golf. It is challenging, beautiful, and above all else, fun. The "new" holes #1-4 add even more to what was already a great course. This course is probably my highest rated course, but it rounds down to a 4.5 and not quite up to the 5.0. Signs, navigation for first timers, and a smidge (a very small smidge, though!) of repetition keep it from being a 5 in my book.

Incredibly hard (maybe I'm just a newbie). With all the underbrush I spent more time looking for discs than playing.

For those of you who are good I would imagine this is an excellent course. I won't be visiting it again till I get alot of practice in.

In addition to everything said below, there seem to be new tee signs, as all the tees were very easy to find. All the baskets have giant orange flags on them and, coupled with the distance estimations, weren't that hard to find either. If you want to play the narrowest, longest fairways you've ever seen (often with random trees in the fairway anyway for "fun"), this is the course for you! And hooray, we have 18 holes now!!!

Very hard to walk, with all the rocks in the fairway and the super muddy terrain (especially around 18). No way to walk across the creek between hole 11 & tee 12 (and hole 14 & tee 15)... you have to hop on slippery rocks. Almost every hole is unforgiving, which is a real con for beginners (like me). This course will eat you alive!

Hole 14 has a beautiful drive and the creek on the left, and a rare pro tee that's actually in front of the amateur tee that forces a shot over the creek. Getting pars here feels like getting birdies.

Lot of challenges, both for distance and accuracy. Nobody on the course the day I played (which was a beautiful Sunday). Varied terrain.

No scorecards, no map on the board at the first tee, no information at the tees. You basically have to scout each hole ahead to see where the basket is - could stand to be better marked.

I never did find the 4th hole or the 5th tee - played the 5th hole from the 4th tee. It would be nice to have 4 more holes to make 18, but there's plenty to keep you busy as it is.

There is not likely a more challenging course in the Mid-Atlantic region nor East Coast. The challenge is only exceeded by the variety of holes; water, hills, cliffs, woods, wide open bombs, this course (even with only 14 holes) has it all.

Tee pads need work to be leveled and have run-up space. Level smooth paths need to be created through the holes with rocks/bolders carpetting the fairways. The course caters mainly to Expert golfers, distances are pretty tough on beginners with no alternate tees provided. 4 more holes are needed to make the course 18 holes.

Beautiful woods, fields, hills, streams and lakes make this a great disc golf walk. The bigness of the course is nearly overwhelming the first time you play it, but for disc golfers with a bent towards playing courses with "Real" pars that vary beyond 2s or 3s, this is the Mecca. Playing this course and either Little Lehigh Valley or Tinicum is a great day of disc golf.

18 of the toughest holes I've ever played! Tee pads, rubber, are in excellent shape and absorb rainfall well. Baskets are in nice shape as well. Many holes marked with orange flags for sight as well, adding additonal help. Fairways are well defined, and with spring here, bad drives are punished more than, say, in the fall and winter. Not too many truly "open holes" here, but there's not one true "pinball machine" hole where you're just throwing it and hoping for luck. This course will take every trick you have. Getting pars on a few of these holes will be extremely tough. Bathrooms and water fountain with faucet at the bottom of the hill towards the 6th tee. Holes 15 through 18 are new to me, so I will go through them:
Hole 15: Mostly straightforward with small creek about 3/5 of way through. Bad drives punished but not a tight fairway.
Hole 16: Interesting par 4. The basket is easily seeable and you have a tight route on the right and a much more open, but longer route, farther left. This evens the playing field for lefties vs. righties.
Hole 17: Left hander benefits on the tee shot. Once out you will have a small creek and a lot of room to work with. Be careful of the boulders (true with almost the whole course).
Final hole: Probably the easiest hole if you can make it past the first set of trees. Basket is on a small pile of rocks maybe four or five feet high. Makes for terrific ace runs on a course that is mostly ace dry.

I recommend bringing the oldest shoes you have and the oldest pair of socks you have. The course tends to stay wet a while after rain but still quite playable. The holes don't have maps, but the fairways are defined enough so even a newcomer can probably enjoy it.

Certainly not a course for first-timers. Many holes here would be awesome signature holes elsewhere. Hole 2 has a pin high on a hill, and any disc that would roll will be found at the bottom and will take at least 2 to get back up. Hole 4 has a hanging basket off a low branch. Hole 6 is probably the toughest and longest hole here, easily 800 plus feet and not all open either. If you birdie this par 5, remeber that shot for a while. Hole 9's pin is just feet away from a cliff. If you're going to go for it, hope you either make it or come short. Go over the man-made bridges, including the Nocky infamous "Motherbridge" after the 11th tee. There's a waterfall both near the 7th and 12th pins, and after a railfall it looks even better. The elevated pin on the 18th rounds out what is easily one of my top courses and THE must play course in and around the Lehigh Valley. Ten minutes from major connector route 309 and about 15 minutes from I-476. Many good eating establishments in nearby Quakertown.
