This 9 hole course is hidden in one of the many green belt parks between office parks in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. I played a couple and this isn't one of the best examples.
It is a well appointed course, well done pads and signs on all holes. Park itself is nice and has trash cans and bathrooms. They used the area to have a couple different shots so it isn't a wide open pitch and putt.

Big ones are it is a very busy park and course and the layout is very tight so if you go for that tempting drive and are off very much at all there is a good chance you will be hitting someone. Some drives are blind and close to next tee, again a hazard to hit someone.
The park itself was hard to find, I drove around it twice even having looked up directions on line. very rare for me. No city signs, at least that I saw, leading to park, also rare.

An interesting place and good use of greenspace but a course to be avoided when busy. Much better courses close.

This is a decent neighborhood park 9 hole course, great for taking first time players, working on your short game, or just cranking out a fast 18 on a lunch break.

Lots of straight or slightly left to right shots without many serious obstacle to work around. This may be improved in a couple year as the trees grow on the front half of the course.

Marked alternate, longer, tee positions would be nice.

Orchard Park is a beautiful nine hole disc golf course located in Hillsboro, Oregon. This park has ample parking, most days, and an extremely clean bathroom near the entrance. This course is remarkably clean and well taken care of, with locals working hard on the surrounding landscape by planting trees, bushes, and flowers to brighten up the area. Woodchips have also been spread out along the pathways and pins, giving the course an updated look. Tee signs are in great shape, with updated distance, par, and a map showing major obstacles and pin locations. Tee pads are all cement, well maintained, and are all the appropriate size. The Mach III baskets are well maintained and in excellent shape!

This disc golf course was very straight forward, with good flow, and is very easy to navigate. The course was designed having the holes looping around the park counter clockwise, with a balanced shot selection off the tee and a few mandos and OB's to make things interesting. This course is best suited for novice and intermediate players alike, with few obstacles and wide open fairways. This course is great for new players because there is little chance to lose discs.

This course, although ideal for those learning the game, presents little challenge for advanced and open players. Most would find themselves shooting well under, trying to ace run the majority of the holes. Although this course would be fun for anyone, it would most likely get old quickly.

Another issue I saw when I was there was how quickly the course got crowded. Because there were so many playing for the first time, during their lunch break, or just playing a quick round while traveling through, the wait time became increasingly worse.

Last, the walking paths that meander through the course could be an issue. With pedestrians constantly walking through, many times players will have to wait and watch out on several of the holes along the way.

The designers for Orchard Park made a short challenging course with the room they had allotted, and designed a course that was perfect for all ages, especially families. This course was easily accessible from the freeway, and is the perfect spot to stretch and get a quick round in before heading toward Horning's Hideout.

Orchard is the perfect place to get mom and dad, your siblings and kids out on the course for a fun and quick round of family friendly golf. Navigation is about as easy as it comes and the park is in great condition with even walking paths covered with wood chips. Baskets, pads and tee signs are in great shape along with some of the more cleaner bathrooms I've seen in a public city park. It's not entirely open either, there are some trees that will challenge your tee shots.

This is a place where any advanced player will be throwing way under par every time they come out and the baskets are littered with ace signings. There is a major walking path near many holes so you may have to wait for people sometimes. It has a small parking lot and during beautiful weekends I'm not sure where you are going to park.

This is an excellent course for showing off the sport to someone new or for people with exercise restrictions who can't walk or play long periods. It's well maintained and I think I would feel comfortable playing in bare feet. Also I went when it was rainy for the last couple days and while the other area courses are under water this course was relatively dry.

Excellent course for beginners or for people working on new shots (forehand, thumbers, anny, hyzers, etc.). The course is wide open so you can throw virtually any shot on every hole. I like to play the entire round with a Roc or Aviar to work on my short game. The tee pads are HUGE and the park is extremely clean & well manicured. Picnic tables and a nature trail will give the non-DG members of a family something to do while you play a quick 9.

This is not a competition level course. Dogs are often off-leash (can be an issue for some people). Bathrooms are locked during the winter months. Ultra-large after work groups and large groups of beginners are prevalent during the summer months.

Do NOT go over the fence to get your disc... the neighbors will return your plastic to HPRD (near the Hillsboro stadium).

Weekly doubles during the summer are good practice because you MUST birdie everything. When you play a difficult course, those <250ft approach shots can be thrown with a high degree of confidence.

Orchard is one of the best places to take you friends who are interested in trying DG out. The holes are very short and don't require much skill.

That being said, if you are an advanced disc golfer, this course will probably be boring after the second or third round. Unless you spend all your time trying to ace the holes.
