Extremely Underwhelming. 2+ years drive by

Pros:
The only pros to me are that the new course *somewhat* utilizes the swing time parking (which may be changing soon--county workers have been out there recently) and a few holes after 7 are decent new holes.
Cons:
-The heart of the park is now very cluttered with baskets and tee signs everywhere.
-Even with people throwing proper tees, (gold to gold, silver to silver) it is VERY easy to end up throwing at a player on another hole or fairway.
-Walking between quite a few of the holes is much too lengthy, my group gave up playing after 2.5 hours and 15 holes the last time out.
-Teepads tend to be very uneven, with signs posted at odd angles that could've been moved five to ten feet for a level, spacious throwing space.
-Old "silver" baskets aren't getting any newer, which was often a complaint from the old course.
-New land is completely under used.
-Creek is almost completely out of play, which used to add some risk/reward to lackluster holes.
-Complicated concept for the beginner.
-Hole 18 ends a few hundred yards, through the woods, uphill and around a building from tee 1.

Other Thoughts:
I gave the course a 1.5 because there were no signs at the time of play which complicated things (this will get better), and because a few of the holes at the back of the park were somewhat interesting. Otherwise it would be lower.
The new course just seems thrown together, with little concern for the roots of OP. The crowd of OP is heavily amateur/beginner, players who would continue to enjoy old 9 and some of the newer holes without a complete overhaul. The dual tee/dual basket setup is crammed in, almost as if there were no blueprints for the course at all.
I understand the want for a pro level course, as many of the people who wanted to change the course play a high level. What I don't understand is why the original 9 couldn't be left standing and another 9/18 could be constructed using the new land. The original 9 white and blue could've been restored, with the new land used for a more challenging course.
What seems to have happened in creating this monstrosity is that a few heads got together to try and make Oregon Park a "pro" course. By misusing the new Swing Time land and forgetting that there is a large crowd of amateur/beginner players here, they trashed a classic (albeit easy) 9 to 18 holes of disc golf.
I understand the desire for a more challenging course and agree with the thought, if done the right way. However, this layout is sloppy, with too much left to be desired. Everything is concreted in, and it seems the changes are permanent, which is just too disappointing for my home course of many years.
At least there is still Oregon Park disc golf.
