For first -timers, from the current (lower) tee, hole eight is a dogleg right with a 150' lane that follows the visible part of the fairway. I try to turn over an anny drive (rhbh) and get to the mouth of the lane, follow with a straight flying mid, and hopefully have a chance at a three (which really is a good score on this one!)

From the 'short' tee to the open basket position, I try to flex (rhbh) a fairway driver into putting range. The few trees remaining in the fairway are the navigational challenge.

Since you can't tell the pin position from the tee, you might need to look ahead. A drive that hooks gently left can park the short basket in the cedar grove.

A true Osage Grove classic, hole 5 has a left and right lane and multiple pin positions. Doesn't matter much to my arm. My favorite (and only workable) tee shot here is my Buzzz kept under the ceiling, down the right lane. I usually need to accept 'laying up' somewhere beyond the ravine, an up shot & a putt.

"Lefty's revenge" is a tunnel tee shot that needs to bend to the right AFTER the woods, & glide downhill to the right. My rhbh middle-aged arm needs a flippy driver (like a mamba) to get there. But forehanders, lefties, and folks with more power all have an "easier" (ha!) time here.

The best line to the short pin seems to favor a slight anny (rhbh) out over the corn. For my arm that's a flippy driver, but I've seen a pro do the same shot with a putter, so it depends on your arm.

This hole seems to always be muddy on the path, at the tee & the first half of the fairway, so watch your footing. Choose a straight flying disc (mids are great here), and either lane will get you close: right side if you fade left at the end, to the short pin, left side and dead straight will approach either pin position.

I try to throw something slightly overstable (rhbh) down the right side of the fairway here, and have parked it with my teebird, for instance. There is also a good lane for the forehand on the left.
