Best in the morning

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well marked and easy to navigate. Clear flags on hidden pins. Red and white tee pads to accommodate different skill levels. Love the two mandatory culverts.

Cons:

Tight spacing between fairways doesn\'t leave a ton of room for wild shots.

Other Thoughts:

All dirt and sand course. Best in the morning before it gets hot.

Nice Manicured Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 13, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nicely maintained course.
Great use of the area allotted
Some really cool mandos
Restrooms close by

Cons:

Because some of the holes criss-cross other players might get in the way occasionally
Mostly dirt and gravel course
Some of the baskets are close together making your target basket confusing

Other Thoughts:

One of the more fun courses I have played. It is in a nicely maintained and manicured park that has restrooms close by the course. They really make good use of the smallish area to pack in 18 holes and a great job of making each hole unique. I would come back to play any time.

Great Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 22, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course is extremely well maintained. Baskets are in great shape, concrete tee-pads, signs are accurate, (although there are only a couple blind holes) good markers directing to the next hole making it extremely easy to navigate, even the landscaping is kept up. I'm proud to call this my local course.

Great use of the space available and the mando's are interesting. Holes ranging from 150-615 feet and everything in between.

Cons:

Not extremely challenging, most of the holes require you to throw straight ahead with little blocking your path, though that's not the case for every hole.

Many criss-crossing fairways. If it's busy this can be a concern

Other Thoughts:

Blue and Black tees have been added to about half the holes. These are dirt tee pads but create a completely different experience from playing the concrete tees. On hole #3 for example, the black tee seems to double the length of the hole. On other holes, the blue/black tees don't add much distance but create a very different approach and incorporate more of the trees to block your path. For someone who might consider playing from the White tees a little too easy, this adds some challenge

Not your typical desert course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 25, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Well laid out fairways if you play the rock lined OBs. Great for tournament preparation. Course has multiple legitimate par 4s. It has grown up a lot of vegetation and is now no longer a flat dry desert course, that I'm told it used to be.

Cons:

A lot of hard pack and heat will tear up some of the more rubber type plastics.

Nice little pitch and putt 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 28, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Very neat short course. My drive is way too much for this course. Great course to practice approach and putt from.

Cons:

Windy, on this day, but not abysmal. I have played at far tougher courses in far worse wind, so this is reasonable. Lots of errant shots from other players. Tees, fairways, and baskets way too close together.

Other Thoughts:

All in all a neat use of the grounds. Fun to play on this course. GREAT FOR BEGINNERS. My wife got her first, second, and third par. This was a fun little course. The cons are just minor considerations to keep in mind.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 22, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

good use of ex landfill. Signage and tee pads are concrete and well done. long/short tee pads on most if not all holes. I think it flowed really well.
Bathrooms and water is available.

Cons:

a couple of fairways are pretty close to each other.

Other Thoughts:

This course is well done, it is on top of a hill covering an ex landfill. it can be really tricky at times especially when there is wind. Many a times I had some nice looking drives catch a draft, and go way further or way off because of the drafts on the course. Some holes have a good ace opportunity, Ive hit chains twice on the same hole, but no luck going in. I think the course suits a variety of players from beginners to experienced.

Worth Playing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 27, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

The constrution of signs and tees is nearly perfect, I've played all of the courses in the phoenix area and the tee areas are almost the best I've seen. Good mix of long and short holes. Interesting flight paths (Mandos). Plenty of parking, nice view, decent changes of elevation. Fun blind holes. Pretty easy to navigate, No risk of losing disc to water

Cons:

Some holes are a little too short, holes crowded together (may cause problems when more golfers are out there)

Other Thoughts:

No path to hole #10. Hole #13's sign is backward ~~whoops!!!!
