If you are older (like me) you will appreciate the soft grounds, the shade, and the relative shortness of the course. I can play a round under an hour, which means I usually play 2 rounds. When you enter the park, stay to the left road and you will see cars parked to your left, by a "practice basket". Plenty of parking available in the lot.

Holes 1-10 follow a counter-clockwise direction (more or less) on half the course. Holes 11-18 follow a clockwise path (more or less) on a different section of the course. You will cross over the road next to #1, when you walk from #10 basket, to the #11 pad.

Great challenges with the trees (#12 especially), so I am learning to throw low and straight here to keep close to par (+/-). Pretty hard to lose a disc here, almost everything is retrievable. Much shorter course than the Outback course at Mooney, but the technical challenges are probably more interesting. If you like trees (as in avoiding them while appreciating their shade), you will like this course.

Watch your step in the grass, you could find a "pothole" or gopher hole, not easily visible. Park is closed (or so I hear) on Tues/Wed, so plan on going on other days.

There may or may not be an attendant at the entrance to collect $6, so the entrance fee is somewhat hit/miss. I purchased a County parking pass for Tulare County parks, for $25 (year) which is a good way to go if you plan to visit more than a few times.

Shady, concrete tee boxes, hole info on every hole, all grass. Usually pretty empty, unless its a tourney week. Also is a great park that you can hang out with family and friends and BBQ and put back some beers. I RECOMMEND!!

Hole 6 is kind of a jungle, other than that its a pay to play if someone is at the booth. Six dollars is the amount. Also its closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If it was free I would be out there everyday. Also for more skilled players, there are no hazards or elevation changes However, a challenging course is 2 minutes walk from this course.

Great course to play, especially if you want to play it a couple times and BBQ and hang out with family/friends. I go here quite often and have enjoyed it every time.

Green grass on every hole makes you feel like you are on a ball golf course.
Signs on every tee.
Concrete tee pads.
Multiple pin placements.
Lots of trees of many varieties.
Creative use of roads as OB to make holes more challenging and risky.
Bathrooms, water ( spigot at bathrooms) and plenty of parking.

No elevation changes.
The flow from #9 to #10 is a bit odd.
No benches at all.
Visalia is 4 hours from where I live.
It was hot as heck, use a big hat, sunscreen and drink water!!

Played the End of Trail Classic, great tournament.
This is a course that would be packed if it was not in the middle of the California Cental Valley south of Fresno. If this course was anywhere closer to LA, SF, SJ or Sac it would be overrun.
If you come to visit Sequoia and Yosemite NPs you need to play this course and its younger sister the Perry Outback.
Great disc golf, roller city!

Beautiful park! Lot's of trees, grass, and technicals. We brought our little grill and took a break to cook up some hotdogs midway through the game. At certain times, there is a river that runs through the park. You know where every "T" is by looking for the blue trash cans.

The river ate our discs!! Between hole 1 and 4 or 5, I think, the outback is dry! No grass.

Great park to play in and spend most of the afternoon at.

Huge park so your not dodging other players errant throws. Well placed pins offer challanging but "aceable" holes many times over. Terrific shade, plenty of trash cans, water fountains, and other nice ammenadities that you don't find on many courses.

The large layout means the distance from one hole to the next can be far...and you will have no idea which direction to head!

Find a local to show you around, and make sure to leave enough arm muscle to hit the outback course...it's humbling!
