Pros:

Pierce Park is One of Two Niners along the Fox River around Appleton

Old City Park, playing Parkstyle DG with Plenty of Oldgrowth Oak Trees to shape shots around

Redesigned Spring 21

No longer has Teepads next to prior Basket
Lost some overall distance, but is actually Safe now :p

Holes 5 & 6 Have Two Alternatives
Either go Down thru the Sledding Valley or staying up Right alongside the Valley
Good opportunity to pass a large group

Concrete Teepads

Finally... Hole 9 is a Good Finisher again

Cons:

Would be nice to see Old5s Basket get moved, to further the cause of fixing Erosion issues

Best Hole is now Eliminated
Old 6 got pulled, instead of doing the work to address the erosion

City Park schnizz

Course will be packed evenings and weekends

7s Basket is too close to Tennis Court and Path
Witnessed multiple Discs hitting the Fence, and Discs going in there is a definite Safety issue

A Basket for 6 is pretty close to the Scools parking lot

Other Thoughts:

A little Sledding Valley to throw down into
Otherwise plays on gentally undulating ground, besides the Dropoff to the Train Tracks, or the Washout along 9s fairway

There's been a lot of Clearing along the Train Hill, making it easier to Fly down there, but also making it much easier to Find your Plastic

Also a lot of Clearing along the Left Hillside of the Valley, under the School Fence

Portopotty between 7 and Playground

Fun and great mix of elevation 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 2, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great use of elevation and the surrounding area. I really like the baskets. They seem to really like my discs. #6 is one of the best holes around the Appleton area. Fun blind, downhill shot.

Cons:

Tees are really close to the previous baskets. Tees are mud/dirt. Lots of people all the time which isn't that big a deal but it can get busy.

Other Thoughts:

I was there one day when a family was having a party in the pavilion which is about 75-100ft from the 18th fwy. A discer was walking up to the basket and a group of young guys walked up to the discer and just popped him in the mouth. A brawl erupted and the racial slurs that were thrown toward the discer, white, was incredible. Worst reverse racism I have ever seen/hear. I don't play here when there is any party going on here. Just not worth it. I hope this doesn't turn people off to this place but I thought I should tell people to look out for a little black on white crime.
