Pros:
Trees coverage provided some nice shade, local players friendly, nice baskets, unique markers at each tee gave the course its own identity. Shorter holes make for a nicer experience for novice players such as the ones we met while there.
Cons:
Played hole 1 and 2 simply enough and then got lost looking for hole 3. Had to walk a ways after wandering about for approx 10 minutes before a local player came around and happened to have a map they'd gotten at previous visit. Stick to the back 9 as the front 9 is not maintained and you will be playing in a marshland.
Other Thoughts:
I was really disappointed to find no map at the huge sign announcing the name of the course at the entrance to hole 1. There were no indicators at baskets/tees to signify where the next tee would be. The front 9 was severely overgrown; hole 4 was literally nothing but waist high grass with only the tee pad being mowed. I may not be the best but I am nowhere near being a beginner and I can definitely tell that this course needs serious attention before I will consider playing it again.
