point rock park 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 16, 2016 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Beautiful, picturesque small park tucked away in a nice little town.
Perfect for a quick round when traveling thru.
Easy to navigate.
Pretty easy course, makes you fell like a pro.

Cons:

I could seeing this course being a potential issue if the park is busy as stated in other posts.
No pad or tee marker for #9.
Pretty easy course, makes you wish you were a pro!

Other Thoughts:

I've never been on weekends, but on weekday its all yours, great place to get some practice in as there's nobody behind you.
Other than update the tee pads signs (i don't have issue with grass pads) there's not much that can be done.

nice water views 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 21, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice little park with decent yardage and trees to keep you honest. Carroll Creek wraps around the course and provides quite scenic views. Dirt tees rarely played; meaning you have a good little course all to yourself (not all that common these days. Two other courses in area; Old Mill and Millcreek Parks, are also little played and thus; this area offers a wonderful opportunity for a day trip of quiet, relaxing golf in nice settings.)
Signage yardages seemed correct.

Cons:

Water not really in play except for quite errant shots. Somewhat short by modern standards. (To be fair; it was quite wet out and we played short tees). Longer tees 3,000, and thus; quite up to modern standards; but, shot requirements not special.
Only nine holes.

Other Thoughts:

Therefore; a 2.5; though this is a very pretty park.
