Unique course and environment 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 17, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Unique environment playing on an air force base.
Lots of planes and jets flying over while playing.
Not a crowded course.
Had an air force friend take us to play using his military ID.
Will play again if have the chance.
Challenging course with lots of variety

Cons:

Military ID required to access course.
Not all baskets were easily identifiable from tee box. Had to run ahead a few times to identify basket.

Other Thoughts:

Watch your driving/car speed through the military base!
Bathrooms and a small shop with discs inside the rec center by the bay.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 24, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Scenic 18-basket course with great variety and challenge. Nice view of the bay.
Course is generally clean.
Only holes 4 and 5 pose an issue of possibly losing a disc in the shrubs (and would take a significant misfire to do so).

Cons:

Need to have access to Eglin AFB to play course.
Signage marks the tees but maps on the signs are not always helpful.
Tee boxes are comprised of loose sand or rock. Some have roots. No benches.
Determining which basket to aim from a tee is not always clear or obvious.
Some holes lined up too close together, an issue if multiple groups are playing one after another.
Hole 2 may be an adventure to play during or after a significant rain.

Other Thoughts:

Fun course with good variety that will challenge novices and experts alike.

Post'l Point Disc Golf Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 30, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Well maintained
-Variety of long and short holes (150ish-425ft)
-Beautiful scenery
-Variety of doglegs right and left
-Plenty of obstacles

Cons:

-Signage needs improvement

Other Thoughts:

The Post'l Point Disc Golf Course is an excellent course on Eglin AFB, and is well worth the trip to play, if you have base access. No water holes on this course means that losing a disc is pretty hard, unless you put it up in a tree.
Easiest Hole: #6. A nice dogleg right for LHBH throwers sets you up for a par on this short hole, at worst. A good chance for an ace as well.
Hardest Hole: #10. Four Hundred and twenty-five feet in length, hole 10 begins right outside of a copse of trees, and finishes inside of another grove of trees. No birdie chances, and very easy to bogey.
Birdie chances abound, but so do bogeys, and the multitude of trees add to the difficulty of the course.
Overall, a great course!
