Infant course with good potential 2+ years drive by

Pros:

When I first heard that a course was going in, the first in Erie where I grew up, I was intrigued.
This course currently has temporary DGA baskets and no marked tee pads. My brother and I used the map in the files section and guesstimated where pads might go.
That being said, this course has some well thought out and laid out holes. It is no pitch and putt. You wind you way back though the college courses athletic fields and most of the holes utilized already cleared and maintained space extremely well. Some of these could truly be par 4s.
There is a fairly diverse amount of different shots, although only one hole truly required a forehand/anhyzer drive.
There were some short holes but nothing that was just a jump putt. There were also some longer holes with room for flex shots.
Only one hole truly was in the woods. I am truly excited about where this course could be headed.

Cons:

The major con, and it's a big one, is that the course is constantly interacting with and occasionally following a walking path that gets moderate use. There are a couple of blind shots toward shots towards this path that will get extremely dangerous for pedestrians when the course begins to get more use. I am also concerned that while athletic teams are using the field, disc golfers will be unable to play, meaning only after school gets out. I hope the designers and managers of the course can find a way to preserve the length and beauty of the course while better avoiding team/pedestrian traffic.
The other current big con is that the baskets are temporary and there are no signs or teepads. I didn't mark off too much for this though since the course is just getting off the ground. If pads/signs aren't added soon, I would move my rating to a 2 or below.
The course is currently 9 holes, but I appreciate that they created 9 challenging holes rather than cramming 18 into the same space. I was told if the course is popular, they may add 9 more...

Other Thoughts:

My rating may be too high because I am trying to mix an evaluation of potential with the actual course. I also am just super excited that this city finally has a course.
I will play this course again this week while I am visiting my parents and will continue to when I make it back to town.
I appreciate the start that PSU Behrend athletic department has gotten, and hope they continue to put resources into this course to make it a 3 or 3.5 level course.
UPDATE: I hear that signs are up!
