Great little 9 banger 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 15, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great setting, well maintained, quick to play, easy to navigate, nice baskets, informative signs, plenty of parking

Cons:

Lack of diversity, only one wooded hole, only 9 holes

Other Thoughts:

Beautiful, very well maintained course. Great use of the space they had available. Another 9 holes would greatly improve this course. A few of the holes are just straight shots at the basket in the open, kinda typical.

Good new course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 11, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Erie finally has a disc golf course!! The course has a pretty good lay out and flow and targets are very well placed. The tee signs are good quality ones and will probably have info on them soon. The grass is short and well maintained so you won't have a hard time finding your disc unless you throw into the woods. There aren't any really short holes so its a good challenge for anyone. The course also gives good exposure to the public which will hopefully gain more interest for the sport.

Cons:

Some of the holes are played along and across a walking path so you just have to watch out for people. Its only a 9 hole course and its almost all completely open.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 1 is a par 3 and is a straight shot with trees on either side of the fairway.
Hole 2 is a par 3 and plays across the walking path with a few trees in play.
Hole 3 is a par 3 and also plays across the walking path and is a down hill shot with a few trees to the right of the target. Follow the path through the woods to get to the 4th.
Hole 4 is a par 3 and plays along the walking path and has a couple light poles in play and a few trees around the target.
Hole 5 is a par 4 and plays through a practice soccer field.
Hole 6 is a par 4 and is a dogleg left and is completely open. There is a drinking fountain at the tee.
Hole 7 is a par 3 and is a straight shot and completely open.
Hole 8 is a par 4 and plays along the running track on the left and a drop off on the right.
Hole 9 is a par 3 and is the only wooded hole. The tee sign is in a weird place and I'm not sure exactly where they intended for you to tee off from.
The targets are temporary DGA ones but they are brand new. I changed it to a permanent course since they put up permanent signs and it now shows up on the list of courses.
