Loved it!! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 13, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Where to start??
The usual pros:
Concrete tee pads, excellent signage, easy to follow flow.
Great use of elevation: some hole distances list at what some would call short, but the uphill throws added some distance to the tee shots
Plenty of mature trees and well positioned.

Couple of memorable holes:
#1 Long downhill with basket tucked barely in view on the down side of a hill.
#4 Basket position with the protection of numerous mature trees and just enough room to get your disc thru. The real visual of this defies words!!
#5-6 Continuation of the mature trees from hole 4.
#7 Line of trees with 10 ft gaps about a third of the way down the fairway.
#17 Great pin placement through a valley with a basket on top of a small knoll with a large tree making the tee shot challenging!!

Was a great course, well maintained with no boring holes whatsoever!!

Cons:

Only a couple of alternate pads and short ones at that.

Little bit of confusion as to which basket to throw to (some positioned close to others ie, 7- 10, 11-13)

Other Thoughts:

Was course 2 of 6 on a Saturday trip thru Keokuk- Hamilton- Quincy area...

Was the best course I have played in a couple of years... I am a city park course fan and this did not disappoint.

Word of advice... if you do both Keokuk courses in one day, do Tolmie first as the warm-up and then enjoy this one!!

Played when I was a kid 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Mar 27, 1985 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

I remember this course when it was probably pretty new. I'd like to go back some day. Sadly, it is out of repair according to the other review. As a kid I recall it being a very fun and challenging course, but that's before I knew there was anything but the big wham-o frisbees.

Other Thoughts:

Hope to go back for a visit some day. The park and tees 4 and 6 were right across the street from us.
