Pros:
I wanted to wait until I played this course a few times to review it. I actually really enjoy this course. It is set in a Beautiful park with Restrooms, with drinking fountains. right by the 1st tee pad. Also, Great Concrete tee pads and signage at each tee pad. They do a good job, on the first few holes, of using what little elevation is available to add some different views and tee shots on holes 1-4. Baskets are in good shape and generally catch well. The addition of Blaze orange tape to the center poles on the baskets has made them Much easier to spot through, or above the scrub brush. Beautiful desert landscape lets you know you are hucking discs in the Desert. There is some neat wildlife running around on this course, too. I have seen everything from lizards, to birds, to Jack Rabbits. The Wind is Constantly Swirling on this course, adding a challenge of insuring you pick the right disc and find your line.
Cons:
Many of the holes after Hole 7 turn into what feels the same 330ft-380ft hole, repeated. The wind keeps you guessing, but the holes can get monotonous. Lack of actual "Fairways" can leave your Perfect drive punished by burying you crotch deep in one of the many giant, thorny bushes that line the route to the basket. A little bit of brush clearing could go a long way here. Not a Con, per se, but the First hole borders a Heavily used walking path, so be sure to look before you throw.
Other Thoughts:
The Beautiful desert landscape and moderate course length make this course Fun, but I wouldn't say Easy. There are still challenges on this course, even with the moderate length. Staying out of brush, water run off canals, and keeping a good line in the wind keeps this course pretty great.
