Pros:
New baskets, tee pads, and signs. Trees and foliage have grown since installation to make the course a little more difficult. Multiple pin positions and more to come in the near future from what I hear. Unlike other courses in the valley, this property is mostly a disc golf course, so I rarely have any issues with pedestrians or other non-disc golfers.
The facilities surrounding the course are outstanding with bathrooms, drinking fountains, playgrounds, ramadas, and lots of parking. I played a tournament here recently and having two courses in one spot with all of the facilities made for an awesome tournament. It is a good warm up course before you play the North course.
Cons:
This is an easier course than some that was intentionally designed to cater to rec/intermediate players at request of the City of Mesa. I still enjoy playing it and have definitely been bitten by it. One errant shot can turn a birdie hole into a bogey very quickly. There have also been more rattle snake sightings on the South side when compared to the rest of the park.
