Poorly Marked and Very Confusing drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 9, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

The course is much much longer than pretty much anything around
Practice basket at 1st tee

Cons:

Poorly Marked Tees
Holes aren't necessarily obvious to first timers
Limited markings on baskets
Almost unplayable without UDisc
Crisscrosses a walking path and drainage ditch
Much too long for beginners

Other Thoughts:

The start was a little confusing to find but after that it was ok. It's south of where the course is marked at the top of the drainage ditch. There are no arrows on baskets or signs letting you know which direction the next tee is so you have to pretty much entirely rely on UDisc, I don't recommend playing this course without it. Especially since its an out-and-back style course with some crisscrossing and long walks between baskets and tees.

A fair course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 25, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Very little pedestrian traffic
Good Mando selection (when not teeing as marked)
Shade

Cons:

Tees are in odd places
Baskets are a touch rough
Layout is odd

Other Thoughts:

Recently moved to PHX area and this course is right down the street. It's an ok course to have close, nothing amazing.
Red markers for tee spots, and these are mostly on inclines. I have been choosing to tee off on the flat ditch bank above or sidewalk area just near the tee instead. This option provides more challenging shots.

Hard to find 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 8, 2020 Played the course:once

Other Thoughts:

When you park in heroes park, walk across the blue foot bridge and go down into the walking trail in the wash. It looks like there are red tone Poles for T pads and at least the 1st couple of baskets are about a 150'.

Has potential 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 1, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good use of the area available, some interesting holes, good greens.

Cons:

Navigation is border line impossible. We drove from down on the fairway or up on the path on many holes, because many of the tee pads were so off camber that they were about guaranteed to roll an ankle.

no map other than udisc.

Other Thoughts:

Has potential, but a mowed thunderbird-paseo or conocido park is more fun if you are playing disc golf in the west side of the phx metro.

Brand new 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 1, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Cool way of using the facility they had. Lots of good terrain. I liked some of the "wonky" shots like teeing off having to throw over the fence. Lots of elevated to pads were fun.

Cons:

This was a brand new course. Navigation was very different. Seemed like some fairways crossed? (Maybe we didn't play it right)

Other Thoughts:

Maybe spray paint the hole # on the tee pads till the concrete pads are in or Would it be possible to put some sort of stake in the ground where the tee pads is. We spent most of the time looking for tee pads. Signd to mark where the course is would be nice. We parked in the overflow lot (eventually) and walked under the bridge and then to the left crossing over the canal where the first tee is on the bridge throwing down to the basket. Definitely worth the stop. Really enjoyed the course. Would have loved it if we didn't spend more time looking for tee pads than playing. This course will be great once it is all finished. It's Arizona and a long walk, take water!

Not complete 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 20, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good use of limited area
Challenging without being impossible
No repeated holes
Lines are fairly obvious but not always easy to hit
Very cart friendly
Championship level with at least 2 signature holes you will want to throw your whole bag on

Cons:

Turf tee pads atm, cement coming early 2018
Flow of holes is confusing if its your first time
No tee signs
Almost every hole is on some kind of slope, even though the shots to get there are different uphill putts are extremely common
Walking path goes through the whole course so you have to wait for walkers and runners sometimes

Other Thoughts:

This is a brand new course, the baskets were put in just a couple months ago but it has already held a major tournament, it has 5 star potential once the course is polished and i will update my review when that happens.
