Are we talking about (field) practice?

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 15, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

Brand new Dynamic Disc baskets, new concrete teepads, and descriptive signage dot this course. It looks like Ascend is spending money to bring this park back to life. The playground equipment does not come into play. Great job thinking about the safety of kids! The views of the Tennessee River and it's inlets are nice despite being in the middle of an industrial area.

Cons:

Trees only come into play on holes 2, 3, and 4. The course started out promising. After holing out of hole 4, I saw the basket next to the river (hole 8's basket) and wandered around looking for the teepad thinking this is going to be the best hole on the course.
The mature trees, water hazard to the left, sloping fairway towards the water, and well defined fairway had me pumped. Except it wasn't a fairway. This area wasn't utilized at all. Checked the udisc map and had to backtrack and walk up hill to find hole 5's teepad, and throw the length of the gravel road towards the park entrance. Then the remainder of holes were in the field with no obstacles. Talk about a let down for a course that started so promising.

Other Thoughts:

Allen Iverson would lose his mind after hole 4.
