course has innova baskets now

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 7, 2022 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

small for beginners
fairly easy
longest hole is about 320'

Cons:

only 9 holes
lot of casual traffic to avoid
4 and 5 are close to the swim beach and people were sitting close to those baskets
longest hole is about 320'

Other Thoughts:

the park manager has put in proper baskets and they sell discs out of the park store.
one basket is mounted to the top of a freestanding spiral staircase and was very difficult to make that putt.
course is pretty open and on pretty flat ground it makes for an easy stroll.
there are lots and lots of other things to do at robbers cave while you are there like fishing, hiking, camping, swimming, etc, etc. go now!

Fun little course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 28, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well marked
Tire baskets catch well

Cons:

Grass tee pads, but were in good shape because this course does not get a lot of play
not the most challenging course

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun little 9 hole course in the area between the lodge and the lake at Robbers Cave State Park. This is a good course for people to play for the first time. Perfect for a state park.

The only hole I had a hard time finding was the tee for hole #8, I had a map and was able to see it is near the pool from hole #7.

I had fun playing it and shot a 22.

State park addition 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 15, 2014 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good use of space
Variety of long open shots
Discs available for rent
Great view of the lake
Big power shots
Well maintained grounds
Good use of environment

Cons:

Goose poo everywhere
Baskets aren't consistent size
Baskets made of old tires
State park means people walking through the shot line
Random and occasional intoxicated folk picking up your lie
One basket is on the edge of the designated swimming area putting little kids in shot path as they play in sand

Other Thoughts:

Course maps and score cards are available at the cabin rental office as well as disc rentals. This is a fun nine hole but has very little shot variety.
