Little 9 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fun little Pitch and Putt 9 hole course.
Great for youth and beginners.
Cages are labeled with hole #s and good condition.
Park is well maintained.
Serene ambience.

Cons:

No hole signage.
Tee markers are in the ground and some need re-painted with the hole numbers.
Parking is limited, unless you park across the street in the Howe Park Parking Lot.
Pedestrians walking though holes 7-9.

Other Thoughts:

This is a great place to practice short approach and putt. Great place to shot aces for advanced players. There aren't any tee platforms to walk or run on, so you get good practice developing your throwing arm.

Pros:

- fun little quick play 9 hole
- easy parking close to hole 1
- good quality baskets
- marked dirt tee pads
- fairly easy to navigate
- fun little technical holes

Cons:

- very short, absolute putter course
- most holes are around 100 feet, longest might be 200.
- tee pads could use a post or something so they stand out
- despite the course being in it's own little part of the park there were still lots of pedestrians and random people just wandering around.

Other Thoughts:

Fun little course for a beginner or for someone to practice their short approach shots on.

Youth Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 12, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beatiful park, nice creek/bridges, good groundcover
Nice variety of trees, young and old, large and small.
Holes were created with thought behind them, most require strategy and a decent throw.
I was the only one playing at 1 PM on a beautiful Sundy afternoon, this gives you the opportunity to throw multiple discs and shoot for alternate baskets . ( I created my on course on my way back to my car.)
Parking shouldn't be an issue with a parking lot right across the street at Howe Park.
Nice Baskets
Very very good looking, very very new

Cons:

Too short to truely enjoy for anyone over 12.
Fairly heavy pedestrian traffic through park.
Dirt tees (mud ones in Dec).
No Tee Signs.
Some unDesirables hanging out at the tables by the tee for hole one and in the parking lot (but is it a park experience in Sacramento without some)

Other Thoughts:

This course was hard to grade, the lack of distance makes it a place to take the kids or fart around at if you are in the area.
However it is very nice and set up like a REALLY good 9 hole course, just 1/3 scale.
Heavy play at this course would improve medium to short game.
