Stop the madness! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 6, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a course that you could warm up on or practice putting at. Concrete tee pads are still in decent shape as well as the baskets which is a little surprising considering the vandalism here. Navigation is easy as you can see most of the tee pads and baskets from the parking lot. You could play this course on your lunch break and still have time for a sandwich.

Cons:

Vandalism, litter, unsavory characters, etc. There is a large sign on one of the tee poles (signs are ripped out of course) that warns of the course closing if the vandalism continues. It's hard to say how much of that is the golfers but I bet it's a much smaller percentage than the local rift raft.

This course has mostly open and short holes with the exception of a two or three "trees" that surround the basket. Just not a lot of challenge here for most people and virtually no reason for repeat play.

Other Thoughts:

This course is a classic example of how Disc Golf courses are thrown into the worst possible land available in a park or sports complex in this case. While tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars are flooded into the beautiful baseball fields a few feet away this course is located in the mine field of ankle breaking prairie dog holes.

Just skip this course, there are lots of other courses in the area that aren't quite as bad as this.

Pros:

you can bring your dog. no one cares if you drink.

Cons:

short, flat, 9 holes, wide open, ugly, fairways are close to each other, most people that go here are white trash and have no idea about how to play or any concept of etiquette.

Other Thoughts:

don't ever go here unless you want to watch the prairie dogs hump or you are taking someone for their first time.
