Pros:
-There are public restrooms just across the road at Tee #1.
-The hole layouts with clearly visible walking paths to the next hole and baskets with arrows were great.
-Some local disc golfers told me before hole 1 that the course was set up for Long Tees on Odd holes and Short Tees on Even holes, which helped a lot.
-Shorter length tee pads, were not built yet, but a pair of little orange flags marked them and they were noticeable.
-Almost didn't need the map, (actually needed it to get back to our car before the storm came in after 11 holes).
-The layout was fantastic - trees came into play almost every tee off and I learned how to play in the woods, (get past the tree(s) with as much distance as possible). -Loved the 13th rock surrounded elevated basket! -There were a few anhyzer tee offs which was great. -After all the tight tree tee off holes, I was excited to find the elevated 17th tee off with a clearer path to the basket.
-Liked the occasional short holes too.
-The dog legs holes and orange cones in the fairways as markers were great too.
-The baskets and signage were grade A too.
Cons:
Watch for afternoon thunder storms in the summer afternoons. I recommend watching your shots carefully and walking to the location that you see your disc land. I threw a hyzer long approach to get around tress on 14th hole, and it skipped about 30-40 feet left - but with the trees and small bushes, I couldn't see it skip left. It took me 20 mins to find my disc. Just something to be aware of.
Other Thoughts:
Played in the afternoon, got 11 holes in and a storm came in. I finished the round at 7AM the next morning.
Also, I found out on the 2nd day, that playing in the early AM was so much more enjoyable - temperature wise and with the quiet forest.
I can't think of any reason to not give this course a 5.0! So, I will. This was "Best of the Best" for me so far.
