18 Hole course in a city park setting, with lots of tall mature pine trees and nearly bare ground underneath.

Hole lengths vary from 170' to 360', and all include the requirement to drive around and through trees. Some holes have well defined fairways with others getting close to "poke and pray". But with the clear ground a tree hit may knock you off line but you'll likely still have a clear look to the basket.

Hole 17 has a really tight mando about halfway to the basket that requires you to thread your drive between two closely spaced trees. My group missed the mando way more than half of the time, so it makes an otherwise plain little hole much more challenging.

A couple of interesting basket placements out on the end of large fallen logs, and another on top of the stone pyramid.

Nice use of the little elevation available for Hole 7 (uphill) and then Hole 8 (downhill).

Large parking area near the first tee. Restrooms and water fountains in the park.

Large concrete tees with a lot of surface texture. Attractive small wooden signs with hole number and distance on most holes, but missing on several.

Navigation was pretty obvious on parts of the course, but there are a few areas where things can get confusing without a map. For instance, it is easy to go from hole 13 directly to 15 as the tee pad is right there.

Most of the holes are pretty similar. Lace your drive through the trees and give yourself a good birdie opportunity, or hit a tree and have a reasonable chance to save par.

Several holes throw to hidden baskets so first time visitors will have to walk forward to figure out your drive.

This is a multi-use park, so a few holes play over pathways and near public areas. This wasn't an issue on weekdays but it looks like it could be on busy weekends.

There are three solid courses in the Show Low area. This one is the most wooded, with no open holes. Wood Land is longer with more open drives. And Ironside Bluffs offers a ton of elevation change. Great Disc Golf area.

Nice setting, challenging technical shots through the woods. Requires multiple lines. Good baskets, flows well.

Not overly long, no real bomber shots to be had anywhere, not that this is a con but it does lack some of the diversity you get down the road in Pinetop. A few poke and hope shots but nothing that feels unfair. Moderately repetitive.

Good, not great course. Probably would play Woodland considerably more if I lived in the area.

A decent disc golf course in a city park setting. Lots of pine trees and shrubs to get in the way. Lots of technical shots required to do well on this course. Some elevation changes come into place, with elevated tees and baskets. A good mix of short and long holes. I like the double mando on 17, you just have a tight gap to hit. Course was fairly clean and there are a few trash cans throughout.

I don't think there was much thought put into the design of the course. It feels as though they just poured a teepad, then put a basket further down. Some holes just had no defined fairways. Trees are everywhere on this course, I don't think that is too bad, but some beginners might have some problems with this course. No teesigns and thus obvious navigation issues.

An overal decent course that will challenge many types of players. However lacking teesigns and the navigation issues, it is slightly confusing to play. Looking specificaly at how the holes play, there is a good mix of shots required. Not too bad for a town this size.
