The Perfect Little College Disc Golf Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 13, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

The Simpson College DGC sits directly across from the main entrance to the campus on a small completely fenced parcel of land. There is but one gate on the campus side but it comes with the disclaimer that this disc golf course is for the exclusive use of Simpson University students and all others are expressly forbidden from entering these sacred grounds. Well, not quite, I embellished the sacred grounds part.

The course itself is my idea of perfect for college students who want to show up with one disc and a coed and knock off a round in 20 to 30 minutes. The course has these lovely Mach II baskets with bright red catching baskets. The pads are natural and the tee signs are basic fiberglass.

Four holes are under 200' and the other five play in the low 200' range. There is a nice variety of hysers, straight shots and anhysers needed. There is enough brush and trees to make it challenging but not so much as to frustrate or force those students to spend much time hunting for their errant throws.

Cons:

I don't know. Concrete or patio block tee pads would be nice.
I liked this course so much, I'd like to see another nine but there's really no room.

Other Thoughts:

I am a little concerned about the University's stingy, selfish, un-Christian attitude toward sharing their little treasure of a course with the rest of us heathens. Perhaps they are only trying to shield their innocent little Christian university girls from the amoral hordes of disc golfers that would reign down on this course if it were open to the public!
