Pros:

-Easy family layout.
-Easy descent in some nice meadows
-Some nice scenery (but not that great really).

Cons:

-Constant presence of hikers, bikers etc.
-Not really a 'Course', just an 'Activity'.
-Pretty long hike down if the kids get bored.
-Worst sounding baskets....really...that bad.
-Over-priced unless you buy the 'Perfect Summer Pass'

Other Thoughts:

NOTE: I never write a negative review without a very compelling reason. However, this version of the course has not been reviewed, and I would have skipped it if I had read what follows. So I hope this is helpful.

I gotta say that even by the reduced standards of the four "Pay a Lot to Play in the Panzies' Ski Lift Disc Courses I have played this summer, Snowmass Yellow was lame. IF you pay the $28.00 Advance purchase price for the 'Perfect Summer Pass', ($32 on the day of), you could think of the boring gondola ride up as being free. That pass gets you the pretty cool Silver Queen Gondola over at Aspen, the bus up to Maroon Bells, plus a couple food and drink vouchers. I found it easy to buy and worth it.

Make sure you park down low in lots #1 to 4 or so. From the Mall up higher you would have to take a lift down. (And for the other 'Yellow' course, park up high in lots #11 to 13). Once off the Elk Gondola, the course is just on your left and heads back down, with a long walk after to the bottom. Hole #18 was missing BTW. Tip: After you finish, don't hike the Bike Only trail to the mid-station...you can't get on.

Not much to say about how the 'Course' plays. The first hole plays flat and over 300', but after that, most players can putt and maybe 'Roc and Buzz' their way down, down down. You might bring water and leave your bag....it's that basic.

I know it's odd...but the totally dead sound of these baskets was a first. What really was annoying was that they literally are just spaced out every couple hundred feet down the meadow. Not even an attempt at interest.
Meanwhile, this 'Family Activity' course puts you in constant contact with hikers and bikers. One of the least 'conscious' layouts I have yet played.

If you are already up there or can look at the ride as a free bonus on that Perfect Pass, it's something to do I guess. Otherwise, I would head all the way down valley to CMC in Glenwood and play a real course.
