Future of Organized HS DG? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 15, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Let me start out by saying, this is the best property owned by a school that I have ever seen. I believe they own 80+ acres and have plans for 9 more holes in the future.

This course is really not what you think of when you hear "9 hole course". It really isn't. A few bomber holes to open up with, followed by a few technical holes through some trees. A really interesting/possibly infuriating downhill touch shot. Andy you finish by winding back around the school. Want extra innings? Play the short pads! They off some unique views for each basket.

I have a feeling that this is really going to help spread the word through the local ohio schools that arent familiar with disc golf. Kids talk, post on social media, and will probably demand another local school to help put in another course. Before you know it, club play between schools like in central kentucky. These kids are going to throw far!

For being so young, this course has a lot of love to it! Already have nice paver pads, benches, even hooks for your bag.

Cons:

This is being nit picky, but would love to see some type of trees (just a few) on several of the holes. Something to throw around, or to try to make you hit a line. For example, hole 3 is throw hard and far twice from either pad... and hope for a putt. No thinking to that... and that is what the sport is partially about. Thinking.

In the future, would definitely like to see those extra holes look something similar to hole 5 for balance.

Other Thoughts:

3 is a strong score for a course in its infancy. I think this will really serve the community in a great way. Excited to see some young throwers catching the bug, and spreading it to other local schools.
