Better than the north course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 18, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice baskets, tees, and signage
Good hole variety and elevation change

Cons:

Very far from the "front" 9

Other Thoughts:

This is better thought of as 2 separate 9 hole courses (although they label the "south" course starting with "hole 10")
The first part could probably be skipped. I'd rather play the back 9 twice

fun little park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

These back 9 are far better than the first set. These ones typically have longer shots. This park is pretty open feeling but a good variety of terrain. I would say if this park is within 20-25 minutes of where you live then it is worth a trip out. Good place for beginners to learn, definitely not a hard course. Easy to find discs and course has recently been cleared/opened up.

Cons:

play this with the first set of 9 and you will get more for your time.

Other Thoughts:

Early morning or sunset time are the best to play! Just mowed and cleared a bit so pretty hard to lose a disc here!

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 17, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course is a little more challenging than the 'front 9'. More trees and more elevation changes. Beginners will want to warm up on the front 9 a couple of times before going to this one. Longer shots than it's 'sister' course. Beautiful grass for most of the course.

Cons:

If it has rained in the past couple of days, 3 of the last 4 holes are very muddy as it is undeveloped area.

Other Thoughts:

Just as nice as the 'front 9'. Pads are nice and signage is clear. Wouldn't change much at all for this course. If the last 4 holes were as green as the rest, this course would easily get a 4.

Ready for more distance? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 25, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Very nice park in a nice neiborhood. Nice baskets, tee signs and pads. A little longer than the front nine. A lot of the baskets are still reachable with mids, but beginners will get in some driver work. Only a few spots to loose discs, and it will take a really bad shot to find them. A few of the holes will require drivers for advanced players as well. Par will be a good test for beginners, intermediates should be under, advanced should be way under....

Cons:

Not really any cons....... Just, not the most challenging from a technical standpoint. Oh yah......the fact that it is about a mile from the front/north nine is ,kind of, a downer.

Other Thoughts:

This course is the perfect next step from the north/front nine.

Back 9 shenanigans 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 28, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Pads, signage, trash containers. Baskets in good shape with alternate positions.

Warm up on the short front, and bring Horne bacon from the back.

The course mascot is waiting at the picnic pavilion to meet up and throw with you.

Cons:

A little smelly, and some ungodly weeds in th gullies.

The walk between he first and the second course is long.

Other Thoughts:

Got invited to return a pond disc, and threw two rounds. Came out even and -1. As you throw this course,l you should se e your score gradually decrease. This is a good neighborhood course.

The Back Nine Is A Slightly Tougher Version Of The Front! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 14, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lying 2/3 of a mile almost due south of Springvale North is the back nine course, Springdale South. This course is designed to played either as the back nine or as a seperate course, your choice. The baskets are numbered 10-18. As with the North course everything here is brand new and still has that new car smell. New DGA baskets with the numbers on top facing towards the throwers, new concrete teepads and new wonderful tee signs with a small map of the hole, distance, par and hole #. I sincerely hope the local Natzi youth do feel the urge to mark up the signs and pads.
This course is slightly longer, more challengingly, hillier and plays three holes through a undeveloped brown, scrubby section of the park. You'll need shoes for this nine. The rest of the course is that same wonderful, lush, green grass. I'd call this nine a typical recreational course. It still has some fun little ACE runs.

Cons:

I think there's room for a full 18 on this site. It's 2/3 of a mile from the North course. I think it's meant to be drivin between.

Other Thoughts:

I enjoyed playing these two courses together. There was quite a crowd on the courses today. The rec department did a really top notch job putting these two (one) courses together. They should be commended.

Take care, don't litter and some of you guys get out and stake out these courses at 2 AM everynigh,t keeping a watchful eye out for the local marauding packs of teens with their cans of spray paint.

Sweet Course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 8, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Great tee pads and beautifully maintained park. Signs were easy to follow and holes were well thought out. Some fun shots and ace potential on at least three shots.

Cons:

Not a lot of variety ... some obstacles.

Other Thoughts:

Long walk between courses ... probably a drive.

Back 9 - more of a challenge! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 8, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Long holes, open well kept grass for most holes. Hazards to make it interesting. Good size hills. A couple of the holes are in natural terrain.

Cons:

Might Loose a disc or two. Long walk between north springvale (1-9) and south(10-18)

Other Thoughts:

This is a longer more technical course than the 9 earlier holes at the north springvale. Look for a place on the south of 136th to park or drive between the two.
