Not Bad for Middle of Nowhere . . . 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 22, 2014 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

For a nine hole course in the middle of the desert, this course holds up just fine. Even has some trees, grass, and the only lake for miles around!

- Brand new tee pads and signs
- Nice bench and trash can on every hole
- Challenging enough with half the holes over 300' and one over 700'
- Good facilities and water available

Cons:

- The new tee pads weren't textured AT ALL making them very slippery
- There are only 5 baskets, so 4 of them are shared to make nine holes
- The layout is a little funky, so you need to do a bit of walking. Study the course map near hole 1 before you head out.
- Tee pad 5 is currently in a secured construction zone, so make up you own.
- Half of the course is in a multi-use park, so be cautious of kids and others
- Many baskets are right next to tee pads, so you have to keep an eye out for other's shots approaching.

Other Thoughts:

It's the only course for at least 50 miles around. You can tell that some thought and money went into the tee pads, signs, and benches. Too bad they weren't disc golfers!

Holes 7, 8, and 9 were fun and challenging. Hole 8 is a true signature hole along the lake, over the pond and fountain (only the pond and fountain were dry!), with the pin beyond trees and next to a small hill.

There is a nice iron bench on a cement pad at EVERY tee box. Too bad they didn't save a little on benches and buy a few more baskets to flesh out the course a bit. There is room for it.
