Pros:

Easy to play, pretty park. Low trees force you to keep your throws low. Good practice course.

Cons:

Map is kinda hard to follow because of all the quick turns. Low trees make some shots hard for newbies.

Other Thoughts:

Lost a disc on 18. The woods are not thick but the undergrowth OB will eat your discs. Watch where they go.

OK 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 8, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's in Branson, and this is the only course you can say that about. A couple of the holes have some challenge, and a couple more are legitimate ace opportunities. This is a quiet location and kind of scenic along the river, and the course makes pretty good use of really limited space.

Cons:

A LOT of shots require keeping your disc less than 6 feet off the ground. Nice practice for doing that, but it gets old and some otherwise nice holes are made less nice by it. The mix of tee types is confusing, the park is kind of hard to find, and some of the back nine tees are hard to find.

Other Thoughts:

I won't say the locals are rude, but. We arrived late in the afternoon hoping to get in a quick 18. There was a young family there, they were playing 3 when we started. Dad and 2 boys about 9 or 10 were playing, Mom was spectating. We passed when we were playing 3 and they 6, I said hi to Dad and he stuck his nose up and said NOTHING. None of the 3 of them would throw until the whole family was looking at them, and when Dad threw, he had to stand and look at the shot, make 5 or 6 false starts, then make his poor to average throw. We caught up to them on 12, they could easily have waited at 13 and let us play through, but didn't. There was no way we'd be able to finish before dark behind them, there was no way they were going to finish before dark, so we bailed. Disc'ers are usually so much more cool than that, but they acted like they were po'd that we were there, and we weren't drinking, cussing, or anything.

Wet 2+ years drive by

Pros:

- Well kept park.
- Very nice signs.
- Short, but challenging holes.

Cons:

- Very, very, very wet. It had rained some the morning of the day I played. I played it that evening, so assumed it would have drained already. However, when I played, there were several holes unplayable. The course obviously doesn't drain well.
- Very hard to find.

Other Thoughts:

- This course was hard to find, however, if it wasn't wet it would have been a fun course to play.

Reviewed: Played on:May 24, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Holes well marked with excellent tee signs. Landscape is beautifully manicured, with a beautiful mix of Oak and Cypress.

Cons:

Holes 1-3 tee boxes and baskets under a few inches of water at my visit. These holes have Cypress trees with very low limbs, making long drives difficult.

Other Thoughts:

It appears this course was put in without a lot of planning needed. The landscape does not offer much in the way of unique or challenging routes to the basket.

Someone took time to take pictures and put a course map online. Thanks.

nice, simple course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 24, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

a pleasent, mildly challenging 9 hole course in a small park. the course is well designed for the space. it`s flat with many trees to keep it interesting. course was generally well maintained.

Cons:

hard to find but worth finding.

Other Thoughts:

it`s the only public course in branson and worth a visit. there were no public courses in the entire area not too long ago, now there are several within easy driving distance. there were stacks of pavers on the parking lot, i`m guessing they may bricking the other tees like the tee pad on hole #1.

If there is nothing else this is good. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 27, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice setting, mowed grass nice trees. In the middle of a walking trail bordered on one side by rock wall and bounded on the other side by a road. Basic 9 hole down and back course. Very easy to navigate arund if you can find the course. Can easily be played in thirty minutes while your signifigant other shops at the near by outlet malls.

Cons:

Hole one had a brick teepad the rest were all grass/dirt except hole 8 where you throw from a painted square on the pavement of some playground equipment. Nothing too challenging, same shots around and through trees just different distances. This course could be so much better with the use of the surrounding land mostly the woods near the bridge and the area at the base of the rock wall.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 8 was the most unique hole as it throws from a paved teepad to a blind shot at the base of the rock wall if only there could be 3 more of these holes it would be worth going out to a lot. Also alt. tees would be good for an 18 hole layout. With all of the elevation around branson why isnt there a better playing course in the area.

Come on Branson... Show me something 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Nice setting along jogging trail. Very quiet, peaceful. Friendly people.

Cons:

Not much variety in the course.

Other Thoughts:

I know Branson is generally an older persons destination, but with all the money of that place, is ONE well developed disc golf course too much to ask?
