Pros:
Very Challenging 9 hole course with tight fairways and water coming into play on 3 holes. Pro and Am tees can create an extremley challenging 18 hole round if you are up for the challenge. Signs for some hole help to navigate the tight fairways. Very low amount of traffic make for a nice paced round with no waiting between holes. Very private, and tucked away into the woods between the soccer fields and baseball dimonds. Nice post on most hole with pegs to hang your bag to prevent you from having to set them in the mud. I think that that is a great design and should be thought about being used on other courses.
Cons:
Can be very tight and easy to lose a disc. Hole 4 has a long drive out of the woods into an clearing in the woods which is usually wet and gets very overgrown grass, impossible to find a disc. It appears to me that it only gets so out of control because it can be so wet and they just can't get a tractor in there to mow it. Can be hard to navigate between some holes if you don't know where you are going. Mesquito seem like they can possibly become a problem as the season goes on. Natural Tee pads with a 2 x 4 marking them are not as nice as cement but i think that it is a great idea for a course with natural tee pads.
Other Thoughts:
You can rent discs at the ice arena if you need.
Easy acess to I-275 off of 8 mile.
If you are a first timer to this course I highly reccomend following the link on the information page for this course and printing yourself up a map.
I have faith that this can become an awesome nine hole course with a little TLC and time. If Cass Benton is busy it is worth the short drive to head over and check this course out.
Another review stated that the last hole was missing a basket but that basket has been replaced.
